Hi, been registered as a member for a while now but this is my first post....

Read the message and poll by Elvis and generally agreed with his sentiment (probably blackballed from the board now!!).

However what does annoy me is when I read in today's paper that Bristol Rovers are going to pay £100,000 for Daryll Duffy and just last week Shrewsbury were ready to fork out £100,000 for Holt.

Now Shrews are in league 2 and Rovers are no bigger than us. When you read these things and then you read that Pools will not be spending money on signings you can understand why some fans get annoyed. It does look like a lack of ambition.

Don't get me wrong, I am eternally grateful to IOR and everything they have done and continue to do for us but I am just trying to make the point that I understand some of the frustrations to a point.

What I don't agree with is people already writing Pools/Wilson/Power/next season etc off already. We aren't even back to training FFS.

I for one am looking forward to the friendlies starting never mind the season.

I like you AP am on the board virtually every day but don't post much.I totally agree with what you are saying and I would like to add that I think most fans are frustrated more than disgruntled at the moment.We see other Clubs spending 100,000 and above with similar fan bases and we think why can't we do that.In my opinion I don't see IOR pumping much more money into the Club until the Ground belongs to them and although I thank IOR for everything that they have done for the Club,they are making the Fans more and more frustrated with their attitude of running it like a business.Football is all about characters and sadly at Pools we seem to have a bit of blandness at the moment....even Boydy when he was here was a bit of a jack the Lad who caused endless rumours on the Terraces and got people talking.Now we seem to have a lot of Grey men showing no passion for the Club and the PR side of things is a joke.
People wanted a good Centenary Year with a cracking Game against quality opposition and instead we got a 2nd rate competition that no-one will go to.I have just turned 50 and been going to Pools since my Dad took me as a nipper and I can honestly say that this is the first season ever that I am not looking forward to the start of.Why I don't exactly know,maybe it is the lack of passion from the management side and the directors trickling down to the fans...if it is,then I fear for the future fans who will never know what a cracking atmosphere the Vic can create.
Anyway that is my little rant over........I will stand by and prepare to repel all boarders....

Thats what I miss and what the majority? of supporters part with their money for... but it really isnt going to happen again under DW is it?

but we have a wage structure that the chairman sticks to good business stops you going bankrupt

I agree with you about Shrewsbury but Bristol Rovers are a lot bigger and better supported than Pools, did they not take 40k to the play off final the year we went back up?.

The team that I think are the same size as Pools and are making some big transfer dealings are Crewe, Zola will not be on 200 quid a week, and they still want Snodgrass so they must be getting bankrolled a fair bit this season.
