I threw my fish and chip paper into the bin the other night when a hand suddenly appeared and instinctively fingertipped it out of the way just before it reached its target.
I wondered who this tall, swarthy figure could have been to whom the mystery hand belonged, but now I've read the thread it's all come together.

Looks like he's joining Doncaster then.

Well I had my doubts but if it's been in the Sun it must be true  I have a feeling they've got the story from the one that was in Mail last week.

Seriously, I see a couple of stumbling blocks here. I'm sure the big Greek wants to come back and Pools want him back but surely the buck stops with Coventry? He's under contract, so he's not available for free say Coventry wanted £50,000 for his services would we seriously pay that for a player who walked out for nothing 12 months ago after in his own words he's been offered a very good contract by Pools? Surely other clubs in league one will be interested and willing to pay that fee, so why would Coventry let him come back to us for next to nothing when they could get decent cash off another club?

I reckon they might let him go for nothing - the stumbling block for me would be his wages. He must of at least doubled his wage when he went to Coventry. Unless he is so keen to come back he would take a cut...

Is that the same stumbling block that Butz keeps tripping over during games. rolfl

Why would we want him back, he is not good enough for us.Has one good season and was found out at Coventry.

Why would we want him or Graeme Lee or Paul Arnison for that matter.

Can we not break from the past and bring in some new blood for a change.

It's not the goalkeeping, it's the improvement in the defence as a whole. Nelson didn't seem to be as good without a good goalie behind him.
