Swearing in front of kids

I'm making a conscious effort to try and stop swearing in front of the bairn before he's old enough to pick up on it. Does anyone have any tips?

I never ever uttered the 'f' word in front of me granparents, but never had to try and repress it. However I'm finding it hard to stop in front of the bairn.

Just one of them things that happened with me, around the youngun i just stopped.

Best thing to realise is you can't stop them hearing the words, but to make sure they know it's a naughty word they should never use around you.

Got rid of an ex before for swearing around her too much.

I had to correct jess today when she came out of nursery and said ohh i've pissed myself.

For me its a definite no-no. I have never ever swore in front of my two, not even a single utterance. I cringe when I hear others do it and it goes beyond my understanding. Kids should be allowed to be children as long as possible and using words such as these removes some of their innocence. Of course they'll hear it in the playground but when they get home they need examples of decent behaviour not effing and blinding from their mum and dad.
