Somebody give John Barnes a job..

He seems to think the reason he isn't getting a job is because of his skin colour. But you only have to listen to him as a pundit to realise he couldn't cut it...

The reason he is not getting a job is because he's just not very good, remember his time at Celtic!

My advice to Mr Barnes would be to get some coaching under his belt, non league level if need be, prove you've got what it takes, then you'll be in a position to get interviews for jobs. There's only 92 league clubs in this country, they won't employ John Barnes because he was a good player.

He says the clubs he's applied to are 'only league one', yeah, and how many of the league one clubs have a budget of less than a million or so, they see a tv presenter, not a manager or coach. Paul Ince started at the very bottom with Macc, follow in his footsteps and stop fooking whinging.

Exactly - Many league one clubs want semi proven managers who have demonstrated at least a little bit of quality anyway. If I had to pick a pundit to be Pools manager then you couldn't really get any worse than the likes of John Barnes, unless of course you pick John Beresford or Tony Adams....

He really is a total tosser - there are plenty of white ex-players who find it difficult getting on the management ladder as well. He just seems to think he is entitled to preferential treatment for some reason... stpid

He couldn't have had a better opportunity to get on the managerial merry-go-round landing the Celtic job, I mean I could manage Celtic you're only competing against one team. He totally fooked that up, getting tonked at home by Inverness FFS. It's not because you is black John, it's because you were the black version of Martin Scott.

Lets not forget some of these ex players wouldn't of touched Hartlepool with a barge pole a few years back, but they got found out, failed in management and now can do no better then to give their worthless opinions on Radio 5
