So you must know Grafton Street, Suffolk Street and the other one behind Bev Road that I can't remember the name of but where I actually lived in 2 different houses in 2 different years so should really know... :uhoh:

Nah, the other side of Bev Road- runs parallel to it starting just after the railway bridge near the bingo that they turned into a pub and comes out onto the other road whose name I forget that is over the traffic lights from Cottingham Road.

That would be Worthing Street, Mr R

clappp

I was thinking that it might have started with a "W". :uhoh:

Now what is the name of that road opposite Cott Road with Jacksons on the corner and the Mecca a bit further up- the one that takes you up towards Spiders and the big spliff in the sky?

Haha, Clough Road is rough as fuck.

The Haworth used to sponsor my American football team so I was in there loads. Scream pubs are usually a bit shit but that one's brilliant. Don't rate that Fusion Bar they've just built next door where the garages used to be, but it's making top dollar

Fusion caused Tru to close down, I liked Tru was a classy little bar.

Piper is a Scream bar, thats a decent club!

The Piper Club was better when it was a proper working mens club. Spoilt it when they changed it into a pub. And they stopped the Sunday dinner time strippers.

I have probably seen more gigs in the Adelphi than in any other venue in England. Top place, even if the Stella and Castle Eden were always watery. Haven't been in for a long time, but I doubt it's changed, and I bet Paul Jackson (if he's still involved) is still expecting to be shut within six months.

Dont know anyone in there, just my missus' mates band were playing. A little bit Metal like.

There was a bloke with a dodgey arm in there doing sound......??

I was a little shocked by the toilets...... a random random shiitter placed in the corner all for everyone to see, no box around it just a crapper! Nice! also, no shiite rool either!!!

Dose the Polar Bear still exist, Mattie? Where the lecturers in my department used to meet for extended lunches. Or indeed, live

The Polar Bear's still there. It's on the end of Spring Bank West opposite the Old Zoological. (EDIT: last I heard, the Polar Bear was the pub of choice for the gay community. Don't ask me how I know that rolfl )

And the Adelphi... the hip hop nights there were immense, even if it was a basement of an end-of-terrace house and a car park

Piper's alright, I don't think it's as good as everyone makes out but the bar's massive so it's not too hard to get a drink. I never really ventured down into the town bars when I was there, the likes of Pozition are shite.

Spiders though... oh man. What's your favourite Spiders drink? Green Monster ftw... £4 to get fucking wrecked!
