I'm really hoping the bag of Nice n Spicy I've got is a faulty one, but it says '50% less fat' on the bag so I'm guessing not.

They are the limpest, foamy, most tasteless excuse for a corn snack I have ever eaten. Absolutely rubbish. They don't crunch, and there's bugger all flavour to them. They aren't even the right colour - pale yellow rather than brown.

It really is a sad day for me if this is how they are always going to be. I've not had a bag for months, and I was really looking forward to them. Definitely a complaint letter to KP in the offing.

Whats the point of reducing salt and fat in crisps, isnt that what gives them the taste!

Nik Naks were at their height in the early to mid 90s, but I don't think they're really that awful now - certainly aren't the great standard they once were. They've done it even more so to Wheat Crunchies, which are now officially shite.

I have enclosed a bag of what claim to be Nice ‘N’ Spicy Nik Naks, which were purchased from Sainsburys in Chaddesden, Derby, on Wednesday 4th June. I had not bought a bag of Nik Naks for some time, and was looking forward to scoffing them.

I can honestly say I have never been so disappointed with a food product in my life. I have been a Nik Nak fan for almost 20 years, and I’m really hoping that the bag I’ve purchased is from a ‘dodgy’ batch.

Having spoken to friends about them however, it appears that the recipe has changed, meaning the tasteless, limp, foamy excuses for a corn snack are what is to be expected in the future. The ones in the packet enclosed have no crunch, a disgusting polystyrene texture, are a pallid yellow colour instead of the usual brown, and completely lack any flavour.

You may misguidedly be trying to appeal to a group of people who value low fat etc over pleasant-tasting snacks, but I can assure you that you will lose far more customers than you will gain.

Please revert back to your original recipe, or the brand will probably last another couple of years at best, losing market share to something offered by those undesirables at Walkers. In my opinion KP have got many things spot on over the years, but the decision to fix what wasn’t broken is a very stupid one.
