..watching a documentary and it featured a firm producing boliers in Yorkshire. The owner when asked about the future of the firm said he had a problem getting apprentices in the fabrication section as most applicants considered the boiler suits and safety gear, gloves, helmets etc to be lacking 'style' and felt uncomfortable wearing them from a 'looks' point of view'.... he said it was a recent phenomena.... :roll:
