What happened was Burrah scored 8, and Man City scored 1. Pretty self explanatory really :razz:

A smoggie mate who was at the Riverside today said the City fans were singing to the tune of Pink Floyd Another Brick in the Wall;

We don't need no Phil Scolari
We don't need Mourinho
Hey, Thaksin, leave our Sven alone

Oh dear, oh dear.....this means that the borers and their demented friends in the 'meeja' will now enter this match into their 'hall of fame', it will forever become a peice of folk legend in their bland history. Local radio will now be a desert for generations if you're not a Borer fan, much like a nuclear explosion, it will leave the airwaves unusable as the fall out from this event will be blown on the wind of hype, fanned by the hot air of sychophancy, to spread its deadly cargo of deluded crap across the airwaves. Assorted borer drones and pundits will pop up and recall their feelings of the great day (to us 'grate' day) and the numbers 8-1 ..... which meant something to us, will be hi-jacked by the tees trolls and cause unexpected ercetions amongst them for the next few months, everytime the numbers are mentioned.
Best ignore them. :roll:

it's only papered over the cracks,it's probably saved southgates job but they are still going to struggle next season,they just got man city at the right time with the turmoil thats going on there,i think it's about time that the so called big three realise that they are only making the numbers up in the premiershit,and i think keegan was being realistic by stating obvious facts.

Keegan was spot on. And how many managers in his position would have the balls to tell his club "dont expect us to win owt"?

As for Scudamore's "I don't think anyone in their right mind seriously thinks it is boring. I'm not saying he's going to regret what he has said but on reflection the word boring is probably not what Kevin really meant. The reality is that there is no-one who is interested in football who thinks the Premier League is boring. I don't believe it for one minute."

I think the word boring is exactly what KK meant.
It's Scudballs who isn't in his right mind. I wonder if there's a way to show him exactly how many "people interested in football" see his league for the great pile of shite it is.

On a related subject, watching the Donny first-leg play-off on Friday one of the crowd in the pub was a self-confessed Leeds supporter, and he was busy pulling the premiership to pieces saying what a bunch of overpaid primadonnas they were.
So I asked the question "are we to take it Leeds have stopped aspiring to premiership status then."
He went strangely quiet. :laugh: :laugh:

Erm... I don't really like or dislike Boro but you can't take anything away from an 8-1 win regardless of circumstances. An exceptional result.

I dont particularly care but I think if Boro get off to a decent start next season they can finish top ten - particularly with their attacking threat

Whilst never ever feeling the need to go and watch boro (or anybody else other than pools) I have warmed to Gareth Southgate and his apparent honest approach to management, yeah yeah mistakes and all. So much so I wish him well.
