Fully deserved, a player which always appreciates the fans home and away, gives 110 percent effort every match even when he's not having a good game by his own standards. A truly quality bloke and a very gifted footballer.

Why do people dislike a model professional on this board, pure idiots.

It's only a small minority that dislike him Miggy.

But they do post a lot....No wonder other boards take the piss...

No-one dislikes him Phil. Its just that some of us dont want to shag him like you do. Ritchie is a reasonable player and has served Pools well IMO but the award is too much.

It's true Ritchie has been a good servant for us, loyal and reliable. I'd even say consistant and know I'll get slated of a few for saying that. He is talented but he's more the hardworking team player than skillful winger he used to be and I think because of that he's gone down in peoples opinions. Fact is he's the best left back we've had for years yet he joined us as a striker, how many different positions has he played and not let us down?
