for those that could not make it last night for what ever reason, i post this pic of the star man getting a very long standing ovation from the packed house last night, as they showed a video of his time at pools,

ok it can be argued all day that it was a poor season but that would not stop any club from having a poty and rightly so

but when you look at the achievement of Sir Richie to come away with four major awards then in my book the bloke is doing what the club and the fans want from him.and he reaps the rewards and deserves them.

after all a few disenting voices on a message board will not alter the vote of all fans
if players like ken johnson and big bad bob tell you that RH deserves the award of the century then you better believe it

ok some might have seen a FEW away games but as the chair of the away supporters said this is not just over a few games it is a complete season.

some of the stuff spouted today is farcical and should be taken with a pinch of salt along with the petty insults of some players, you should know better,

all i can say is i have always been a fan of RH for his total commitment to the team i support
and nights like last night dont come often in a players career so i celebrate with him and thank him for that commitment, and as i said to him last night
"not a bad haul for a bit part player"

Why did people boo the Mail Editor last night? refyellow

Cos it looked like a fix.

The Mail employ some nice but dim journo to cover Pools and do nowt but spout the party / Danny Wilson line in the local paper and in return Pools "pick" her name out of the hat.

Nowt personal against her.

I think that it was more light hearted, good natured "booing" to imply there had been a fix in the draw.

Similar to if a club employee had won.

Which is basically what some of the poodles at The Mail are.

Note the use of "imply" above.

I don't for one second think that it was really a fiddle.

I bet you wouldn't boo the Echo's Pools bitch.

Of course we would.

Except he'd be able to take it in good humour.

I'm indifferent to it, it was way before my time.

Fair point.

We were right at the back and didn't start it but I can see where you're coming from.

I'm quite sure that wasn't the intention- certainly not from me anyway.

So, why didn't you come introduce yself last night anyways?
