...already been dug up at the Vic as seems to be customary?

It seems a bit shabby to have scheduled the reserves' biggest game of the season so far on a unplayable pitch that apparently no one had the foresight to check.

I thought maybe he'd forced the pitch to be worse, perhaps talked the grass into not growing just to piss the fans off or something.

Wilson has forced the grass not to grow so that the players have to play the ball long to Barker!

You can tell it's near the seasons end when the hot topic of the day is the pitch.
