I've heard that he is. I assume this is not a big surprise to everyone.

We heard he was going back to Australia months ago, back to Australia to join Wellington Phoenix sctatchinghead

He's contracted to Pools for another year and didn't look like a bloke who wants to leave on Saturday with the passion he showed when he scored and even more tellingly when we conceded.

Yeah, but just at the moment PJ, you can't let logic, common sense OR the truth get in the way of girly hysteria.

In our mid table, newly promoted dire straights, we look like losing five fans. They won't drop out like, they never do, but they like a big hissy fit. rolfl rolfl rolfl rolfl

I think they watch Eastenders too often.

I disagree. I am no body language expert but I got the impression Joel's celebration was one of 'this is the last goal I will be celebrating for youse, goodbye'.

I sincerely hope not but it wouldn't surprise me.

I suppose after winner he saw it as a chance for one last time to berate the back four, he then released we have two more games and he'd have plenty of opportunity for more of that. He'll really go off it at Walsall maybe even chin one of them

I say we have got absolutely no evidence that he wants to leave, we also know he is contracted to the club for next season. I say we wait and see what happens as the constant speculation analysing every he does as 'a sign' is a bit pointless really (yes I know I did it as well!)

I'm all up for waiting and seeing what happens but I think there is more than enough evidence to suggest that he won't be around next season and I don't think he is contracted to us for next season.

A friend of mine has a son who's just got back from New Zealand where he works.
I asked him if he'd spotted Joel and he said no, so the whole thing must be nothing more than a rumour.

There isn't any evidence at all, it's hearsay and rumour, I've heard exactly the opposite (that he wants to stay but just wants a new contract) since those rumours months ago. That's why you don't believe anything until it happens.

Danny Wilson has gone on record that he is contracted to the club for next season, we have an option on his two year contract.
