Think of all the people on the waiting list for medical treatment who cannot get it because foreigners are taking up this valued time. It takes 28 days from day of diagnosis to treatment if its not too busy in the hospitals in Hull and thats whith a brand new hospital built which is huge, think about how long it takes with a smaller hospital.

If I haven't got a visa, I get nowt, if I have got a visa I pay some money, granted little money. If I haven't got a visa I pay 1500 yuan a day in fines.

So I go and get a visa. If I'm ill someone else goes and gets you a visa.

I read this in the Daily Mail today, same article, the fooking hypocracy made me laugh out loud, 'immigrants blocking our health system!!!!....bugger ones dead who we booted out...right .right...shame of our health system....'

AND!!! If she wasnt here in the first palce she would have died a little earlier, we pay our taxes to be kept alive by this very very expensive treatment!

Oh no, no, no, I don't say that at all, it's a tragedy, as is anyone who dies, inevitable as it is.

I'm just comparing my own situation, in that if either the cash or the visa runs out you have to do summat about it.

Or pay, or get booted out. It's not unique to caring sharing Britain.

Why do you pay you taxes? To pay for immigrants treatment? I think not! You pay your taxes incase any adverse incidents arrise in your life. I,E Hospital, Doctors, Dentist, Etc Etc.......

Irrespective of how she got here or her visa status, dying people should be given treatment. It's simple humanity.

The other point is valid about people swarming in from every corner with their hands out but that has no bearing on a dying woman being refused treatment.

i agree with muttley. showing some humanity and treating this woman in this country would have been no hardship whatsoever. we should be able to choose where our tax dollars go.

it certainly wouldn't be going to learco chindiamo (murdered that headmaster outside his school), who couldn't be deported to italy (his country of origin) because it would 'infringe his human rights'.

Having married a foreigner, and having applied for a visa for her, her being a University qualified medical professional and having gone through the BOLLOCKS you have to go through to get her into the UK, I can only say, anything you read in the newspapers is utter complete full weight cack.

Fears as killer tuberculosis comes to the United Kingdom

An asylum seeker is in hospital with the UK's first case of a deadly new strain of tuberculosis - the drugresistant XDR-TB.

The man, a Somali in his 30s, is on antibiotics in isolation at Glasgow's Gartnavel General Hospital.

But doctors fear the treatment will prove useless against a disease that kills half of those it infects.

When the man arrived at Heathrow in November, X-rays revealed TB scarring on his lungs. But he was allowed to travel to Scotland because the disease was not thought to be active in his body. He was admitted to Gartnavel in January.

A hospital spokesman said: "We can confirm a case of drug-resistant TB is being treated here. We are in touch with all close contacts of the patient and where appropriate they will be screened."

Within a month, 52 out of 53 patients - also HIV positive - had died.
