Loaned out to Southport for a month. Now I know he not really been close to the first team, but if we pick up any more injuries to forwards then we will be short there. Please dont suggest Foley.

Has any of these players we lent to non league teams ever come back and done the business or in general has it turned out to be the short end of the wedge?

that's because, he knows fook all

the kids should be given a chance, especially if we win tomorrow.

The likes of Rowell, Rae and Tymon should get first team experience,
before the end of this season.

as i posted a while back my understanding was that the player was getting increasingly frustrated at the lack of playing opportunities, and had been asking about the possibility of going out on loan and getting games for some time.

as has been said it seems strange that it should be done now. the fact that wilson brought in craddock on loan speaks volumes.

he clearly doesnt think rae is ready for any kind of first team action.

my understanding is that the player has been advised that certain people think he is as not as good as he friends tell him his.

let's see how he does at southport - i reckon he'll do well

Hi, just to let you know, thought Michael looked rather good for us today.

Looked a threat, and a physical presence throughout the time on his pitch. Just what we've been asking for all season.

Set up our first goal, putting in a low hard cross from the right, which the keeper should really have dealt with, but didn't and it fell to our other striker (who if you're interested scored a hat-trick and won 3-1).

Though Rae was taken off just before half time, as he obviously wasn't match fit, and picked up a strain. Plus I heard he picked up an injury just before he signed, but he was passed fit to play so that was probably niggling.

But on todays evidence, looks like we might want him till the end of the season...

Just out of interest Mr Southport, do you reckon your team will would be interested in taking a keeper, a centre half and an experienced left back on loan, would help our team out a lot by getting them games (for someone else).

Well we currently have a Morecambe keeper on loan (he was their player of the year last season when they gained promotion to the football league), and we have two back up keepers, so I don't think we'd be interested. Same with the centre half, we've had the same, decent partnership at the back all season, and we wouldn't want to break it up.

An experienced left back sounds good though, we are currently playing an attack minded, right footed player at left back, who I'd like to see in a more attacking positon, so I'd take him, but not too sure about the manager.

Latest from southportfc.net-
RAE IN TREATMENT AT HARTLEPOOL SUNDAY
Sunday, March 09, 2008

Michael Rae is under treatment at Hartlepool today after suffering a hamstring strain yesterday following an impressive debut. Rae was substituted before half time at Tamworth. Dav will be keen to find out more from the Hartlepool physio team concerning the Port's new on loan centre forward.

Not much seen or heard of him, take it he's something of a joke figure here.

"nicknamed 'the Gosforth Roberto Carlos'"

No ta, we've had enough of nicknames, last year with "the Gateshead Hammer" Paul Tait.

Didn't play Saturday, looks to be fit for next Saturday though.

Could have done with him, lost 3-2.
