I see that Halifax Town are likely to go into administration. This would leave them very close to dropping out of the Conference.
Halifax were one of the first teams I saw Hartlepool play and I always tried to get to the Vic to see our games against them - some fiery games there were as well. There also used to be a lot of players that went between the 2 clubs. I kind of saw Halifax as 'derby' rivals in the same light as Darlo (only further away).
Sad that administration is happening to so many clubs now whilst the so called elite wallow in their own self made glory. Quite depressing really. Although I certainly do not support Halifax I wish them well in their plight.

I seem to remember the free coaches to Halifax for the Sky TV game and the riots with the police during the match. It is very sad the amount of clubs going into admin this seeason.

I work with a Halifax fan and he said it was to safeguard against the creditors that keep appearing. Thankfully they aren't in any danger of going bust, as such. There is a new guy taking over but when he pays one debt another seems to appear. It may also be a ploy to warn off a few creditors too (ex-chairman, for example) as I believe it is just a notice to go into administration at present.
