...interesting quote by Tony Sweeney: '.....we have to face it we are now in a relegation battle. We have to do the basics right because the management can't do any more. We've changed the systems and the personnel and it still hasn't gone right.'
Well, that's very tolerant view of the management, but Ivan Ash, the journo, has a more convincing slant:
'Danny Wilson opted for an attack-minded 4-3-3 formation - but it didn't work and plan B wasn't tried until 10 minutes into the second half

Do you think that's Mr Sweeney's own opinion though?
Could be, I suppose...he's young and might just have forgotten what a good manager can do

To be fair to Sweeney he did say;

"but saying that we didn't deserve to win the game because we just weren't good enough"

and

"We did not work either of their goalkeepers enough and we have to face it we are in a relegation battle now."

Honest enough, I wonder if the other players will refuse to talk to him like they did with the press the other week :wink:

It's a very simplistic question like, but does 'Wilson' as you all call him now, ever set foot on the pitch, and are these players on those wages that you all eulogise about not intelligent enough to read the way the game is going??

Maybe I don't understand hysteria well enough.

My fault, sorry. :roll:

It is the managers job to get the players playing together and on the same wavelength. Like has been said he signed them and picks the team.

And some of the players are thick, that much is obvious so they need to be told/ordered what to do........

You certainly don't understand debate well enough to see that it's a bit more than sarcasm and emotional manipulation.

But that's my fault, sorry...I can't have explained quite enough times :grin:
