We played CSKA Moscow in 1990/91. It was a horrible night and we lost 6-1

I remember John Orley must have had the night off and Albert Keleher was on the PA. He struggled with the Russian names all night and for one of the goals he said "The scorer for CSKA Moscow was Dimit.. dimai. di..diam..... number ten!!!"

I missed the Den Bosch game in '78, because it was the same day as the Headland Carnival Parade. I wanted to show my new(ish) girlfriend from Billingham the other delights, apart from Pools, in our lovely town. I must have impressed her, she's still with me!

maybe in my tiny infant mind i thought prague was in russia ? or maybe my grandad and my uncle tot told me they were russians.

my uncle tot got confused rather easily. he got kicked in the head while playing for newcastle in the 50's and was never the same afterwards by all accounts.

i dont remember the den bosch game at all. are you sure it took place ?

how very dare you

29/07/1978 Den Bosch H 2-1 Richardson Malone Gorry Smith Brookes Ayre J Linacre(1) Crumplin Houchen Newton Bielby(1)

ah, the summer of 78. my punk phase was in full stride, i was probably round the back of a bus shelter sniffing glue at the time.

i recall very little of what is going on around me when i is off my tits.

its one of my many failings.

Didn't you once dye your hair green with food colouring?
