By the end of this season I will have spent nearly £1000 supporting Pools this year.

I expect to be entertained even if we don't win. I wasn't entertained last night or in the previous few home games.

If this situation doesn't change I will be taking my wife to the opera or ballet instead of spending money supporting Pools.

Last nights performance banghead banghead rage

I have a lot of sympathy for that view Lordseaton. It costs us £2k per season just to attend home games .I daren't work out what we spend on away games, with some overnight stops. After the recent displays both home and away I am beginning to question whether it is worth it. We will be thinking long and hard as to whether we renew our season tickets next season.
I don't expect us to win every game but I am not enjoying watching at the moment. There is no atmosphere at the Vic which is a fair reflection of the way we are performing. I don't blame people for staying away. If we weren't season ticket holders we would be a bit more choosy.
I now have a complete dislike for Wilson which is slowly turning into contempt.

Spot on Mr Tickhill, spot on.

I've been a season ticket holder for the last 10 or so years. I will not be renewing my season ticket next season if Wilson is still in charge.

I go to Pools to see committment and passion from these players, as well as to be entertained. The salary some of these players are on, reputedly, should be an embarressment to them.

Why do we get annoyed when these players don't show committment and passion? Because we would in there place.

when we had the likes of Denny Ingram we couldn't complain because we knew the limitations of players like that, and the fact they weren't on a lot of money. This lot is different, very different from traditional Pools teams of the past who would at least try hard for the shirt and for the fans, even if they weren't good enough, and they and the fans knew they weren't good enough. If they're on the type of money they get at Pools these days, then we should be seeing them showing their quality out there.

Spot on mate, we get paid a lot less than these and if we don't perform at work we get sacked. They have massive salaries yet they're in a profession where passion and commitment aren't a pre-requisite. It's the managers responsibility to have players in the team who are going to try for the club. I've thrown it in for this season now. I've lost all interest in blowing a fair part of my monthly wage on people who don't earn theirs. The main frustration for me has been mentioned right through this thread. On paper the team we have should be right up there, for whatever reason that never gets communicated to us we consistently give in. The PR machine at the club tells us we're still challenging, regardless of our position. We're not, we're fooked unless something drastic happens. I won't return until I can be sure my money is going to something worthwhile. Of course people will jump on this and say we've been much worse before and i've went through thick and thin. But at least we were realising our relative potential in those times. Right now we have no bottle and a manager who criticises the fans.
