The "loose"? sctatchinghead I would say it was probably cos Collins got a straight red.

We had a dodgy ref. Definitely a 'homer' Almost straight out of school.
Nelse came over at the end to have a go at a Poolie who he reckoned stuck two fingers up.
' Rocky' on the back of his shirt.
I reckon a draw would have been fair. we were the best in the 1st half, them second. The stewards were looking for trouble though. You needed a match ticket to get into the pub before the game?, but a Pools plod let us in.
Lot of noise from the Pompey Pools, very quiet home fans.
Didnt see Collins elbow, class equaliser from Sarfend, all the goals up their end.

I know who this lad is with Rocky on his shirt, did anyone see him stick two fingers up like?

No,
but that's what Nelse reckoned, and he TOLD him. It was def him as me an PIEL was stood next to him when Nelse lost it. Antwi was the only other player to come over at the end.

We lost it today because of the sending off. Up to that point we looked OK, after that we were never really in it. Foley looked lively and Liddle was class.
A mate who works with the brother of the cleaner at the Football League HQ tells me that the opening fixtures for next season have been sent out to clubs. Our opening games are:
9 August v Yeovil (in Magaluf)
16 August v Swindon (in Baghdad)
23 August v Leeds (in Port Stanley)
30 August v Cheltenham (in Phnom Penh)
That should challenge Pauline McSweenie's coach organising skills!

Lot of noise from the Pompey Pools, very quiet home fans.

There were only ~8 "south coast poolies" but they tried to get behind the team, along with most of the Pools fans around them, unfortunately, all those 'fans' that decided to instigate the Wilson out chants at Doncaster, refused to offer any support, probably cos most of the chanting was for Danny Wilsons Blue and White Army clappp clappp clappp

pooielooieaustinstad are you actually sugesting that some of the 266 Poolies who travelled all the way to Southend today aren't fans? Yes they may have chanted "Wilson Out" at Donny but these are people who have spent a fortune and travelled hundreds and even thousands of miles to see us lose 8 and draw 1 of 9 away games, do you think that is acceptable? We have some good players we should never be on a run like that.

To put 'fans' in that context really does highlight how much shite you spout.

Of course they are fans, Mr PJ Poolie, but we were playing away from home at a difficult place, we were more than holding our own, the supporters were chanting Danny Wilson's Blue and White Army for just about all of the first half, and was acknowledged by Butz at the end of the half, so it must have been having some sort of effect, this also continued for most of the 2nd half.
Yet some fans who would normally get behind the team refused to offer the normal level of support

Even Newcastle fans were chanting Big Sams Black and White Army at Stoke in an effort to support the team, and how disliked was he!

I'm more than happy to sing all game at matches but there was bot all chance of me singing DW's Blue and White Army after singing Wilson out 10 days ago.

I'd rather sing 'Stand up if you hate Darlo'.    banghead banghead banghead

That's all fair enough but it was you who put the word fans in inverted commas. You are fully aware of what you were intimating. We all support Pools it's not a competition to see who's the best at just because you sang a certain song and others chose not to it doesn't mean a thing. I didn't hear anyone getting behind the team at Doncaster when we were getting turned over, surely a couple of chants from top supporters like yourself could have rescued an unlikely point

I didn't necessarily agree with the Wilson out chants at Donny but I can understand where they are coming from and the frustration that they are born out of especially the people who have watched the majority of our away performances. You sing his name from the rooftops but allow others to have a different opinion. I actually agree that our fans have been flat in the main this season but it's a two way street we've got to get something back especially away from home, it's up to the players to show a bit of backbone as the most frustrating thing about is we know they are good enough to get results at places like Southend with a bit more character and a bit more fight.

Couple of things Mr PJ, 1st one, my singing days are well behind me and it only comes out on specal occasions these days and secondly I didn't go to Doncaster.

the fans were in superb voice at barnet ( over 1000 for a london game ) and at rochdale ( 3500 for a massive game ) last season and we lost both and played badly.

the fans were in great voice at carlisle on new years day and at leeds and we got beat by 2 clear golas in both.

personally i think it makes virtually no difference how loud pools fans sing at away games to the result.

Pools fans were silent after the 3rd minute at Rochdale.
