But where are the optimists today?

Calling AltheMonkey, JockthePoolie and friends

Even the most ardent optimist must find it odd that Wilson is faffing about so much, I mean, Sweeney at right back!, to me that is two fingers up to all fans.

No no no, why is it two fingers to the fans? It's the sign of a man desperate for a break, he's trying anything and everything to cut himself some slack.

I'm not an optimist or a supporter of Danny Wilson, but I don't understand how anybody can think he's making the decisions that he is just to piss off the fans. If he doesn't turn this round he'll be out of a job, the last thing on his mind will be 'how can I annoy our fans'.

As manager with over ten years experience, why would he play an attacking midfielder at right back when he has TWO perfectly able and fit players available for that position already? sctatchinghead

it is the last thing on his mind now - but I honestly think he had a little bit of ,"I'll show them...." earlier in the season with his selections.

The time for any of that has passed, however. He needs a win on Saturday or it's the Labour Exchange, surely.
We are at a deficit of 4 in defeats to wins in the League. That is almost at the point of no return, which will start to happen if that deficit becomes five on Saturday.
Doesn't bear thinking about.

I don't know, I'll ask him when I have my one to one with him

Why did Steve McLaren play Scott Carson in Englands final qualification game when he'd never played a competitive match for his country?

He's desperate scrambling for a winning team, at least he's trying to sort things out and not just sticking with the same 11 week in week out.

He dropped Barker for last night and there's hardly been a mention of it on here.

That's 'cos suddenly the shocking reality that they may not be right, experts though they are, and having played at a reasonable level.

Porter on and Barker off. What happened?? 0-2.......un-bleedin-thinkable.....
