I woke up yesterday with a random song stuck in my head (as you do), and it's annoying me because I can't find out who sang it!

Anyway, I'm sure the title has the word 'cow' in it... 'Size of a cow' maybe.

Thanks, I nearly text you about it yesterday because it was annoying me so much!

You know how it happens, you wake up and have a song in your head that you haven't heard for years and you can't get it out until you've listened to it. I'll have a look on MySpace now and see if I can find it on there...

Hmm, I thought that they'd be right up your street for some reason, Elvis!

A lot depends on age and circumstance though doesnt it?
You admitted to dropping out Phil.
But I'd just left home, moved to London.
I hated dance music, was into the Smiths, Punk.
The Mondays and the Roses helped me broaden my musical horizons, made me realise I could like guitar and dance together. (It may have been done before but not in my musical education)
E's did their bit as well mind, when they were expensive and full of the stuff they were supposed to have in them.
I dont really play them that much admittedly, but the first Roses album and Pills Thrills and Bellyaches, plus the first Carter album, are worthy.
I lived in a hostel in London and blasted them out to one and all, and believe me, at that time most people played dross (but havent they always?)
Plus I had the honour of seeing EMF support Carter as special surprise guests and get bottled off before the end of the second song for thinking and acting like they were the Sex Pistols.

My last 'gigs' (still feel as tho' I'm to square to call them gigs!!)

Alice Cooper
Twisted Sister
Athlete
Four Tops/The Temptations
Tears for Fears
Jamiroquai
Passion Killers

Is that sad, or just middle-aged

Well to be honest the only band I would like to see there are the Passion Killers but I admire anyone who gets off their backside and goes to see live music.
Far better than a nightclub or a bar
