If we get arnison we are going backwards, as for elding he is a league 2 player, ive given up on wilson these days i dont think he has a fooking clue, should get my mate evan horwood to the club, but it looks like we arent interested

I thought elding looked a good player last season, he scored against us in that thriller at their place and his record looks very decent (50 in 100 games for stevenage, 23 in 37 games for Stockport).

Lets hope DW signs someone before the window closes. Otherwise we will only go one way in the table and its not up.

I think Elding would be a good signing, not to sure about Arnison never did really like him wouldnt mind seeing Lewington from MK dons come in as a left back.

I fully concur.

From memory I believe he is both big and mobile.

Good for you's.

Apparently our manager doesn't believe in playing with a left back so he'd have been no use here.

I personally hope Arni stays with us. He's been good for us when he's played but obviously by the sounds of it you weren't impressed with him.

On Elding, £150,000, if we pay that I'll raise both eye brows!

By the way, flattering photo, NOT!

He was steady away, a decent squad member, but we had better in each of his positions.

Yeah he's only really a squad player for us but he does a decent job when someone is injured. I think we'd be stupid to just give him away unless we have a better RB lined up

Do you think that they could do with a big strong centre forward who has a track record of scoring plenty of goals in the bottom division? :grin:

the last player who the Hartlepool Mail linked to Pools who we actually signed!?

I bet Arnison and Elding are looking forward to linking up with Bridges, Chris Brown, David Martin, Tim Kruhl, and Darryl Duffy!!

I offer the theory that they know no more than the man on the street and players they link us to are through to more than 'logical' guess work. Horwood linked himself to Pools through the Hartlepool Mail but then signed for Carlisle who have a Hartlepool born full back in there ranks who is now seemingly is surplus to requirements in Cumbria because they have signed another full back.

One small flaw to this load of bollocks though;

Arnison is a right back and Horwood is a left back sctatchinghead :roll:

I agree. Snippets of third hand conversations, speculation on the message boards, feeds from the likes of news now. Fact is IOR and DW do tend to play their cards close to their chest so its all guesswork.
