As it's Christmas I thought I'd take a punt at a new thread - as a squatter I wouldn't normally of course.

Proper Yorkshire folk (Mrs Heat is mostly Irish and doesn't understand these things despite being a Yorshire lass) believe Christmas cake is naked without a nice bit of Wensleydale (although cheddar will do nicely).

Do you take cheese with your cake?

always had cheese with christmas cake - prefer cheddar though. My mam and grandparents are from the boro and class themselves as north yorkshire though, so not sure if thats why?
