Yep, thats what I was thinking, you can't win the league with four players.

I'd say pretty much man for man in terms of talent, they're all promotion material BUT they are not peforming. So if we cut it down to those who are peforming I'd say in this order:

1. Nelson
2. D. Williams
3. B. Clarke
4. Liddle
------------------
5. Porter
6. Brown
------------------
The rest aren't really doing the business for me. I've put Porter and Brown below the top 4 as they're showing sings of doing it.

Based on what I've seen so far and my views of the players?

Back four's solid enough (if Liddle stays there until Wilson grows some balls and signs an LB).

The back four lost three stupid goals today.

They're as ordiinary as Stockports.

They're all quality players - it's the tactics (and everybody else) that seems to let them down. Nelson's the best player on the squad ffs!

cant blame the back 4 for not defending against our own forwards who can only get goals in their own net......and the second two came after a numpty manager decidede the back four should be split up...it will have confused the fuck out of them .....But danny will get it right.

Cant blame the players i'm afraid. When DW made those baffling substitutions, you could see a few of the players looking at each other as if to say "where does he want me?"

So the players shoulder no blame for playing disgracefully?

I'm off.

Most of them look as if they dont know what the fook they're meant to be doing, what their role is. I dont beleive that group of players have become crap almost overnight.

Perhaps DW cant get them fired up/motivated, maybe one or two, rightly or wrongly, dont want to play for him.
Do you reckon the players will have got a bollocking from the management after that shambles? Somehow i doubt it.
If theres no passion coming from the bench, it rarely manifests itself on the field of play.

Sounds like the sort of thing that was said about Newell. Morinho and Wenger aren't know for jumping up and down either.

Sorry but your defending the indefensible. This is 4th Manager who had the same problem. It's cultural and it needs weeding out.

well the worst players out there were the ones wlison signed, and he left them on.surely he must take some of the blame for that. we will get better when we start signing decent players. which we havent done for 2 years.

Wilson didnt sign Robson or Jon 'peanutheart' Daly, did he? get a grip man

No, three points is simply not good enough. There's no point banging in six goals if we're only going to get the same reward as any old Tom Dick or Harry.

everybody who grumbled on here after Shrewsbury had every right to do so. It is still the last time I watched Pools, so as far as I'm concerned they have a lot to prove in front of the home fans.
Come on Pools, show it at the Vic.
