The winner of the latest appearance from the half time bar goes to:

Take a bow Frankie Stockton. 20 minutes into the second half he re-appeared.

As Phil says, Frankie is a top Poolie and a nice bloke to boot. I don't think I've ever been to an away game without seeing the beermeister there.

I knocked about with Frankie for years when I was in my teens, I didn't know you all knew him. His Dad, Barney, was a legend. I bumped into him at a pub in Boston a couple of years ago for the Cup replay (1-0 Pools, Boyd), not having seen him for about twenty five years. He was absolutely hammered.

I remember my parents mentioning the name Barney Stockton. A bit of a hard man if I remember rightly.

I wonder if there's anyone from Stockton called Frankie Hartlepool.

I think he was past his best when me and Frankie were mates, but yes his rep went before him.
