I know it is a big if but...

A big win tonight by a few goals and the same on Saturday, would everyone who got on his back weeks ago be raving about DW making sure he doesnt go?

nobody in their right mind wants anybody to fail at HUFC. All they want (very soon) is a sign that DW is going to get it right, and that he isn't going to fail!!!!! 'Cos that means League Two again!!!
I think the worry is if he doesn't pick the team's results up (VERY SOON) then he won't be able to do it anytime in the future.
I for one would love us to have forgotten all this recent animosity in the next few weeks, and be taking the piss out of us who predicted doom and gloom.
It's just that I would be very surprised if we were doing exactly that, in a few weeks time!!!!
