For Wilson to go. A manager whose record at Pools' reads games 77 won 38 lost 22 drawn 17 now a record that says won 38 out 77 over a 50% win ratio is pretty good in anyone's book.

Now compared to Martin O'Neill, one of the favourites for the England job at Villa,Wilson's record is way better so perhaps instead one of favourites for the England job maybe Villa fans should be calling for his head. And the bookmakers should install him as favourite for the next premiership manager to get sacked not to get the England job. His record at Villa is about 37% win ratio.

You cant keep changing manager's simply because a team hits a bad run.

Maybe just maybe the players just aren't over the loss of Micheal Maidens yet.

This has nothing to do with Michael Maidens. The players are professionals being paid a lot of money for playing football. At the minute they are not justifying their salaries, Danny Wilson included.

If Michael Maidens had been an ever present in the team and a 'key' player then that argument may have held some water, however, as it stands, it just doesn't.

Didn't mean all the player's were still suffering from the loss of Micheal, just that some may be. And maybe it nothing to do with the loss of Micheal, maybe it is, but to start calling for Wilson to go is in my opinion a little premature.

Another manager will not mecessarilly mean an upturn.

Dont get me wrong Im not saying we will have Wilson forever and if we dont turn it around Im not saying I wont change my opinion and say he should go.At this moment though I think we need to stick with him and stick together and help turn this "blip" around.

His record this season is

In all competitions
Won 10
Drew 3
Lost 11

In League games
Won 6
Drew 3
Lost 8

In the last 10 league games
Won 2
Drew 2
Lost 6

(8 points from 30)

There's a depressingly downward spiral there.
What's that old saying about the league table not lying.
(we were referred to on MOTD last night as relegation candidates)

Also before anyone says it, I know it's not all about results,
but our level of performance has also slumped in recent games.
If this continues then results are not going to improve and we
will be relegetaion certainties, playing in front of small crowds.

Tell you what........lets keep Wilson forever....no matter what utter rubbish he comes out with, with his next team selection.

Lets keep leaving our best players out......lets keep falling out with them.....lets continue to be so stubborn the team loses rather than pick your best balanced side.

LETS KEEP HIM EVEN WHEN THE GATES GO TO SUB 300O.

Lets be the only club where the fans never moan....even when the team and the season has turned to rat shiit.

Lets be the only club that doesnt blame the manager for results.

Because thats what you are trying to say arent you?

"We are Hartlepool we are used to be shite....get over it........remember the bad old days.....yadda yadda yadda".

Yeh right......lets all just accept defeats to non league shite.........its what we are used to afterall........lets all accept the dropping of Clark, Humphreys, Porter, Monkhouse......Danny knows best......yadda yadda yada.

Tell you what bOB.......................I could pick a better starting eleven at the moment. If I can.....there will be dozens of good managers that could....and more.

Shut you poof. :sweeeet:

I personally wouldn't sack him yet as our form this season hasn't been too bad until the slump started seven games ago. I think it'd be unfair to sack someone after a bad spell of seven games after the great work he did last season. He has to sort his starting XI out though, otherwise I will be calling for his head.

Now then girls, handbags away.

I've had a revolutionary idea.

Why don't we make DW, Director of Football and put CT back in charge.

I seem to remember in his previous spell, he saved us from the Conference
and left us, destined to be champions (tlll a certain scouse gent came along)

I aint read any replies to the first post yet but to say maybe the reason for under performing is because they are not over Maidens death is ridiculous.

Oh and so is comparing managers in different divisions etc win ratio.
