A Merge?
« Thread Started on Yesterday at 6:55pm »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Could be merging this board with another with has quite a lot of members, I won't say which it is.

I have been offered to take this board over to theres, also been offered something which I don't wanna turn down.

That's as well as bringing over:
*Post counts
*Smilies
*All members

Plus I could have as much, or little, control of the new forum as I liked. I could even have a weekly article published on the site if you wanted. There is also a hidden moderators forum on the site too, I'm not sure about the mods but i'm sure we can transfer them over.

The layout really isn't that different(It's not a ProBoards site)l. I'm sure that could be changed if it was that big a problem. The sites use very similar software.

I'm sure you'd get used to the new forums pretty quickly plus there's the ability to upload pictures etc.

Let me know... sctatchinghead

Not this one. I have absolutely no knowledge of this. If its not a proboards site, the OOTB site is proboards sothat only leaves Rivals or Sports Network.

Either way its a nothing decision; those who use Badgers site are more often than not members of the others. In fact most people are members of most sites. My guess would be the Sports Network site.

It will be the vital or the footymad. The new vital ed is having the same problems I had with that message board, works brilliantly but nobody uses it. The footymad site has just got a new ed I think.

Vital often suggested they were happy to try and bring independent messages boards onto their network.

HUFC_ADMINISTRATOR mentioned a 'shiny new' version of Rivals from Sunday!

In terms of this alleged merging, there's no point. probably everyone is a member of rivals but less and less use it. 'Moving' the membership there would create nothing new. I'd go with the Vital suggesting.

As far as new rivals software is concerned, I wonder if it has an automatic editing facility.

Were his exact words "We're changing the interface and if you don't like it you can go and get fooked"?
