Can you please answer a question for me.
Last night the judges voted John Barnes out when he danced the better on the night and even got more votes than Kelly Brook. See I thought they had to vote on the performance that night?
Last week poor old Kate and Anton got voted off and you had the feeling that the judges were just waiting to get at them, even if Matt had fallen on his face Kate would have gone

Personally I thought John Barnes was awful and deserved to go. Add to that he had been in the bottom two week in-week out. Kelly Brook has been outstanding since the start and had an off night.

You haven't answered my question, don't the judges have to vote on the performance on the night ?

I think they are supposed to judge on the individual performance and whilst both were not good, even on the night they got it right, John Barnes was truly awful.

But didn't the judges score John Barnes higher? I am not being stupid I just don't understand the rules

The scores were irrelevant, they judged solely on the performance in the dance off.
