in my opinion if we are to get anything out of this season, this is the XI that should be playing weekly.

Budtz

McCunnie Clark Nelson Liddle

Moore Boland Sweeney Monkhouse

Brown Porter

Gary Liddle has been under par this season in midfield and no longer knows how to play the ball forward, at full back last season he was absolutely superb. Lets get him back there as Humphreys isn't a good enough full back.

McCunnie is the best right back we have at the club, however we need this area addressing so we can push him into midfield.

Moore is only on the right as there's no-one else. Foley or Gibb aren't the answers.

The strikeforce speaks for itself.

I'm not trying to get a reaction from anyone. Gary Liddle is the best left back we have at the club by a long shot and he is wasted in midfield at the moment as he has the lost the ability to move forward. The defence needs tightening and thats an obvious change for me.

Square pegs for round holes?

If DW did that then ADG would crucify him.

Sweeney on the right of midfield.

I dont want wingers.

There is no point.

I want two players that can move around the midfield.....mobile players. Sweeney and Monkhouse are very mobile.

If we had Steve Howard upfront I may want wingers.

I dont think Brown and Porter would appreciate wingers either.

Thank f**k you're not in charge!

4 midfielders but no wingers. rolfl rolfl rolfl

Right - Sweeney is crap, we are always going to struggle when he is in the centre of midfield. Putting Liddle at left back is also silly. The problem area is the right wing and up front combination, do you play Brown up front for example or wide? If Brown plays up front should Ali G be drafted in or Foley....? Personally I would give this a go, as it is solid through the middle maybe a little light up front though....?

..............Jan Budtz................

McCunnie.......Nelson......Clark........Humphreys

Foley...........Boland........Liddle...........Monkhouse

.................Brown........Porter....................

Subs

Mackay
Barker
Eliott
Lee Barrett
+ whoever....

I don't see how playing a player at left back who has always excelled in the position but unperforming in his current position as silly.

Foley has only ever had a handful of starts and sadly doesn't have the same impact as what he does from the bench. Moore would be a far better option IMO.

Well if Liddle isn't excelling in the midfield I'd love to know what you thought about Sweeney on Tuesday, by all accounts he was rubbish at Huddersfield as well.... Rithie Humphreys is not perfect but I think he and Monkey can work well together down the left flank.

Moore on the right is an option, but would he be any more creative than Foley.....?
