Statement on behalf of Raj Singh

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

Beggars belief really.

Well I certainly don't feel antagonised. The bloke has told us what happened to the proposed takeover and, as yet, nobody has come forward to refute anything he said on that. He gets hammered for not keeping us in the loop and when we do get a few scraps he gets it again.
Have you ever thought that he is so pissed off with all the abuse and hatred, fuelled by rumours, assumptions, made up accusations, being called a liar etc etc that he now could be saying, right they want me out and I will get out but on my terms and at a time to suit me. Maybe it is the very people who have been breaking their necks to force him out who are actually making him determined to stay.
Have you ever considered that while you're beggaring belief.
I don't know how many times I have to say this but the tactics that have been applied to shift him over the past three years HAVE NOT WORKED, FFS.

Oh come on he is staying because he feels he can get more money simple as that. The tactics of us fans have been piss poor and weak so far. But that may change extremely quickly If we get off to a poor start Some comments on here aren't going to affect him, but I tell you what if 1500 dont turn up this week, judging by sales so far its not going to be a high turn out and the following weeks he might then have second thoughts.

You say the tactics haven't worked but this fella that can do no wrong in some eyes supposedly put the club up for sale and stepped down. Inly for a russian style vote did he miraculously come back When one day we find out the exact mess were in and when he gets even more arsey maybe those people will speak out against him too.

Where is the evidence to back up he is holding out for more money. The evidence states that an agreed figure was reached, a ten per cent deposit was put down and the sale was on, until the balance wasn't deposited. You are grasping at straws as usual, your tactics have failed miserably and you are now banking on fans boycotting matches. What sort of supporter takes that sort of route.

Tactics

Billys a concerned fan.
Not the manager or an Arselickers.

Wordage eh.

Lets just get this win on Saturday.

Fighting a losing battle maybe getting a point at the mighty Yeovil has clouded what's gone on and going on. Anyway here's to a 5 nil win on Saturday

To be fair to Derwent where is the evidence for anything now…which leaves everything as speculation, in view of the complete silence from any possible or supposed buyers.
Everyone is speculating over silence and what if’s…. so nothing can be confirmed or denied…a waste of all our time.

Raj is sending letters threatening legal action if people say or post slanderous or libellous things about him or the way his businesses are run. I very much doubt he's stupid enough to air stuff that would leave him open to the same legal action.
By the same token I very much doubt any of us will ever learn the full facts behind any discussions over the financial status or any potential takeovers of the club.
The Mail have been incredibly naive in publishing their articles without giving the club right of comment or fact checking them before publication. The Mail are the bad guys not Raj, in this matter, and hence the right of reply and apology were published.

Whatever raj says is evidence yet everyone else is wrong. You would think this summer had never happened the way some just believe anything. Very easy to go round threatening legal action if you can afford it,

When chairman start looking at legal action its normally not a very good sign for what is to come. One of the best statements thats come out recently was how the football analyst said the club is worth a quid, raj said well thats rubbish because we have players etc worth money, what raj fails to mention is the massive amount of debt so to say the club is worth anything is a bit false if your having to pay 2,3 4 or 5 million to just get started.

I'm looking forward to seeing the evidence that all these people interested in pools haven't the money?

The 2 articles Raj had issue with were one which was entirely based around direct quotes from Kieran Maguire’s interview with Tees (all but 2 of his issues with the Mails article were direct quotes from Maguire), and an opinion piece from Robbie Stelling. Neither really require comment from the club seen as its reporting what an expert in the field has said in an interview given to another media outlet and a reporters personal opinion on the sale.
The only reason the Mail have published the replies from the club is so that they’ll be allowed back in to the Vic to cover Pools, they aren’t the bad guys.

Of course the Mail was in the wrong, hence the ban, and hence the article and reply.
The "expert in the field" said stuff that wasn't factual and the Mail published it, if that stuff can be proven to be false and deemed harmful to Raj's reputation or businesses then it's libellous. We don't know either way, but I'm guessing the latest statement and apology is to avert litigation rather than regain access to the press box. Their reporter could easily get into the ground by buying a ticket as I doubt the kids operating the turnstiles would recognise him or even give a feck.

Its all about opinions, but mine is that we don't know the facts and I don't think the constant insults or boycotts will help the team or the process of getting a new owners.

Opinions may vary!

He gave his opinion as an expert in football finance and a lot of what he said rings true for me. If it was harmful for his rep or business then go after him for libel, but it doesn’t seem like he is so what does that tell you? He’s instead banned the local press. Their reporter could buy a ticket but reporting on the game is one part of his job, he wouldn’t get access to the manager for interviews after or before the game and wouldn’t be allowed in a laptop etc surely? I would also say if he did that he might be refused media access because ‘why would he need it if he can just buy a ticket’?
Don’t be daft about this only 1 person is a bad guy and it’s the one who’s banned 2 local media outlets.

The Mail published it so they're liable to any action for libel.

Think there's far more slander and libel cases in the States. Airing opinions is fine, it's making sure that you make it clear that what you are saying is an opinion and is not being implied as factual.
Remember when the panelists in HIGNFY added the word "allegedly" after almost everything they said to cover their arses.

Where is the evidence to back up he is holding out for more money. Gone back to defending this man again I see crikey how naieve can one get.my tactics have failed miserably. That's laughable. Evidence says raj singh put the club up for sale. Evidence says raj singh stood down as chairman. Oh hang on dont you believe he did? Isn't it funny all these people keep coming out, jeff stelling, hartlepool mail, other newspapers, ex managers past people who have tried taking over the club that have said they have lost money, you choose never to believe them apart from the man destroying a second club.

Do you actually realise one day this man will probably have to close this club because he wouldn't sell up then you will turn round and say it was a few lads on the bunker pathetic.

If fans aren't bright enough to see why fans are boycotting then what hope have we got.

Ah the old chestnut of Raj defending, is your next accusation Raj lover by any chance.
Raj has got a pucka gen, bona fide Barrister to do his defending for him so he doesn't need me to do the job, although it is flattering to be compared with a Barrister.
The only defending I do on here is purely and simply defending the bunker, it's owner and it's membership, which includes you.
Raj has released information in writing and I think it is a fair assumption that his Barrister will have cleared it as accurate. My stance, on behalf of the bunker, is that, until some person or some evidence appears to refute his statement then what other sensible option is there other than accept it, however grudgingly. Having used the litigation route it would be very remiss of him to put himself in the litigation firing line.
Yes I believe Raj put the club up for sale but many people are of the opinion that he doesn't really want to sell it. I have never given an opinion on that.
Yes I believe he stood down as chairman but many people think he still pulls the strings. I haven't given an opinion on that.
As for believing newspapers, I don't buy them, haven't for years, so you can make your own conclusion to that.
The Stelling statement was clear and precise and most people read it, including me, so why would any of us need a newspaper of all things to interpret it for us. Although we can see from what people have put up on here that, as usual, it was reported with the usual journalistic fervour.
I thought Kevin Maguire's comments to be insulting both to the Poolie nation and Jeff Stelling. I recognise his pitiful attempt at comedy but I think don't give up your day job is appropriate. Very disparaging in my opinion. Some may disagree but as I said, it's only opinion.
Where have I said I disbelieve everybody else but believe Raj???? You need to stop making things up in an attempt to underline your very weak arguments.
I don't give an opinion on Raj on here as you well know, no matter how hard people have tried to entice me to do so.
My stance has always been, he's here until he decides to go and there's nothing I can say or do that will, in any way shape or form, have any influence on him. That is interpreted as Raj defending or Raj loving or any other description that can be concocted where, in actual fact, it is just plain common sense to me. I am not getting involved in beating myself up over something that is beyond my control. At least not until I win the euros.
It is a well known saying in football that making money out of a football club, especially at our level, is as rare as hen's teeth. However as you are adamant that Raj is staying in order to make money, he has obviously figured it out. How's about trying to get the secret of him or maybe have a word with Kevin Maguire to get the secret of the Golden ticket.
I would do it myself but I'm not as close to Raj as you would have us all believe.

There has been a lot of discussion about a topic which is quite simple. An offer was made , due diligence was done but proof of funds was not received or deposited with solicitors. Therefore no deal. Simple

I think my coffee is ok but I tend to spray quite a bit laughing whilst monitoring this place.
We have one of those Sage coffee making machines and it is very good, especially when our lass makes it.
If you are ever in our area ( Donny) call in for one, you bring the biccys though.

We have one of those Sage coffee making machines and it is very good, especially when our lass makes it.
If you are ever in our area ( Donny) call in for one, you bring the biccys though.

Would love to mate, Fond memories of Donny.
Used to be our (coach) stop off on the way home from away games, Many many moons ago.

In actual fact my daughter did a law degree at Newcastle and has an LLB. Mr I has done or is doing an LLB as well. She doesn't practice it but is useful at putting me right.
Newcastle was ideal for her as she could get to all Pools home matches. We used to pick her up at the station and all three of us used to go together. That way we got to see her regularly, which was great.

Aye I've done the coaching bit and stopped at Donny in the dark and distant past but I've lived down here since 1978.
Our daughter was born here and educated here but she is a member of the blue and white army and got brought up proppa. My wife was a Koppite at Anfield but she's one of us as well. She was born in Manchester, brought up in Liverpool and wears Poolie gear. Not bad eh.

bet she was glad not being a lad. a mancunian brought up in liverpool sounds like a a good hiding if she had not been a lass. bit like the yorkshire/lancashire thing thats still going on. her in the kitchen was actually born in cleveleys and a few went quiet when she said that in our local over 50,s club. being from hartlepool seems a novelty for them.

Have I missed the reply by Shelley Belle Hammond saying Singh’s version of events is wrong?

Rob law and Robbie Stelling banned still? Seems to be what is being said online but could be wrong

Club just tweeted out ‘specific employees’ will not be given access- not sure if it’s them or someone else
