It's absolutely unforgiveable that at the end of last season the fans were left wondering if there would even be a Pools team to support come August. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since, but we won't forget that.

Yes i am too with very limited expectations so lets go on with the ride.
The big question however is will the Engineers Social Club be fully demolished and cleared by the first home match on 16th August? Coral have it at evens, i say no chance as the Herring Gulls will be shagging like mad and covering the whole roof with nests.

Big fish are looking like York and Rochdale, Carlisle might have to adjust to the temperature of the water. Southend, if their momentum continues might need watching and Boston will be interesting.

Say we get it semi correct and scrape into the play offs.

The lack of a proper goalkeeper even at this stage (please don’t kid ourselves that Smith wasn’t shite the end of last year) is ringing alarm bells though

I saw Smith at Dagenham and he was more interested in playing to the crowd tan concentrating on the job in hand. We ro need a decent keeper or the money spent has been wasted.

He was like that for a few games, Strange behaviour to say the least.

We just have to be talking to a decent keeper. I can't see Grayson just tossing it off, the recruitment so far has been pretty solid (in my opinion) and I just can't see him leaving it to the last minute before considering we need a keeper. There has to be one lined up. Has to be.

We said that about a buyer all summer long and….but seriously …there has to be a keeper coming in…I hope.

I can't see the South Shields forwards giving this trialist a MOTM Performance.

Think South Shields will have a decent season with their new management set up. Paul Blackett scored 30 for them last season - surprised no-one from a higher level has been in for him.

just can never see the reason for fans to attend these types of games. they will have no resemblance to any league or cup game they,ll be watching next season. possibly a good look though how football might become in the future. nearly a non contact sport.
