Other than cutting the grass- has the pitch had any significant work done to it?

We've normally had an update during the summer - but as now seems the way, even that is shrouded in mystery and the ever growing wall of silence that has engulfed the whole club over the last six months.

They've probably just give it a spray paint knowing Pools, it'll be falling apart by October.

Didnt Paul Frosts hard hitting expose reveal work is on going on the pitch?

Think there was a tractor in the background - ready to scrape all the shit off the pitch that was deposited during the season..

Thought they were going to put some drainage in, or significant work like flattening it out- so the surface wasn't as bobbly- maybe I dreamt that bit up!

That looks good enough for a team with a will to win mentality, all we need is such a team.

Watched footage of Derby v West Ham back in the 70’s recently…the pitch was manicured wet mud with four islands of grass in the corners….it looked like a chocolate cake with icing marking the out the lines…but a cracking match…..but it showed what can be done with spirit and a will to win regardless of conditions.

: I'd say team spirits are different today.

The wage gaps between players can't help especially when the big hitters go into can't be arsed mode blowing win bonuses for the lower paid players.

A decent promotion bonus should suit the full club.

Obviously not this season like.

can go back nearly 100 years now and players were never paid the same then. a quid or two difference was a lot back then but players attitudes were quite different and its more than just most back then were more local than now.

Credit where due pitch looks good and reading Twitter seems like a lot of work has gone into it…obviously we won’t know how it stands up until season progresses but plenty of other stuff to criticize before this imo
