Diogo Jota

Renamed in memory of John Hawksworth, a stalwart member who passed this day 2nd August 2020. RIP Mr Monkeybutt.

Sadly we must add the name of Kevin Minton, Aka Mr Ripper who passed 30/6/22. Kev was also Mr politically incorrect but a nicer lad you could never meet.

A tragedy for their parents and family. I always liked Jota as a footballer, specially in his Wolves days before one of the Big Six hoovered him up.

Moderators please remove post number 3 on this subject as you can surely see it is in very poor taste the reaction by several other posters by the reaction to it . Hang your head in shame Mr Accrington.

It was actually post No.4....mine was No.3 saying R.I.P. sadx
But yeah I don't get Accrington sometimes....by about 10am he's answered 'every' post and sometimes...most times...contradicting himself from one post to another.
I was quite shocked this morning...no Snowy posts from 4.30am and no posts from Accrington until about Dinner time...I was quite worried about Accrington. Snowy is probably on a bus trip to a Tin Mine or Steam Museum...but says its their lasses idea....yeah right oh.
But I just think he never thought before he posted this one.
Does need deleting though.

can i appologise to everyone for the post i put up. agree with what everyone has said about it. might have been better leaving what i said to another occasion. expected the stick i got and take it as a warning others could heed by thinking a bit more before posting anything.

i only post in a morning after taking the dogs out or later if i,m doing something in the morning. you probebly do not get me sometimes like others who never know if i,m joking or being serious which might give the impression of contradicting myself. totally correct about not thinking before posting but one crass post out of hundred is hopefully just that and i,ll take any sanctions on the chin.

Fair play to you Accy for acknowleging. However, I sill take issue with the fact that his death was the headline piece on the 6 o'clock news yesterday evening. Would it have been as prominent if he had played for Blackpool, or dare I say, Hartlepool rather than Liverpool ?
Still feel sorry for his family but really ?

No sanctions Mr Accy. We all make mistakes and you obviously realise it was a bit crass. I'll remove it.
As far as your posting record is concerned. It is your choice when you post and if anybody dislikes your posting habits or your sense of humour then that's their problem not yours. As long as you keep it fair and civil, which you do. I think this is the first time I have removed one of your posts.
We'll leave it at that.

its always been the case and always will. there is a maximum that can be reported both in the national and local news. more well known and high profile the person is then its obvious the more you will hear of it. On the same day across the world there will be many suffering families from deaths but more can suffer in silence than this lads which has been across the msm.

Why are you bringing me into to this topic?
It was a tragic event but…
I have had no input into it and never commented because I’ve just got back from working over in Cumbria for an old mate..so why my inclusion…?
Aye I do get up early, always have done, don’t do bus trips as I’ve got two cars on the drive and avoid tin mines and steam museums….although the wife does like steam trains, so I’ll give you that one.
I do think Accy has been treat a bit harshly though and the pile on unwarranted..

I was saying I was 'shocked' when I got up at 5.30am and saw no posts from you and later on in the morning no posts from Accy when I expect to see half a page full. It was posted tongue in cheek. FFS.
But i am shocked that you think Accy was treat harshly after his post about a dead footballer and his brother. He accepted himself that it was out of order and apologised for the post.

I said..‘a bit harshly’……you translate it to ‘treat dreadfully’… if you're ‘shocked’ by that I’m surprised…… it’s Accy, a decent poster…..who I seriously doubt meant to be offensive.
