be vey careful if you do as it might get in your blood if you made the effort. got a couple of nw counties teams a few minutes drive from me but it can be a lonely afternoon if you do not know anybody there as everyone else seem to know each other and the players personally. not to eager to repeat the day.

There is a bit of a difference as FC Hartlepool has a more Poolie ring to it. I suspect groups of mates might just go along when Pools are away, have a few pints, and if the fare offered is entertaining and competitive, that might encourage them to make it a regular occurrence.
When I lived in the Town, and Pools were away and I didn't travel to watch them, I used to watch local footy teams on a Saturday or venture into egg chasing territory. There's always someone you know.
If I lived in the Town now I reckon I would give FC a good coat of looking at.

It's different at FC.
Like everything else in life, listen to the banter find a place your happy with and say hello. Or rope one of your mates in.

Their is a few Pools supporters who remember Bob Newton playing.. Including myself, And he does get a mention a few times over the season.

You can have a drink as well if you so wish.

What you see is Lads playing to the best of their abilities.. And yes any player,, /team can have a crap game.. But it's honest endeavour by people wanting to do well, and enjoy playing football.

The fact we are talking like this reflects the apathy of supporters.

think this is country wide though with premier league fans sick of the game at that level and moving down a few leagues watching reasonably priced football. in the last few seasons lower efl league gates have gone up as have those at non league level. fc,s level aint for me, but if you want to watch 22 lads being honest and trying there best without the worst of pro football then they might be a place there for somebody who feels this way. doubt you,ll see the cry babies and the ones rolling over multilpe times faining injury that boils my piss.
