Bloody hell Wigan!!!!!!

Actually last time I saw the Bluetones was in about 1996 in Leeds, to be fair although not my total cup of tea they are/were pretty decent live, be interesting to see what they are like these days. So many bands seem to be giving it another go, was almost tempted to go and see Happy Mondays after the Factory Records thing last night but having seen what a mess Shaun Ryder was in 2000 at T in the Park won't waste my money!

The most popular indie places in manchester are 42nd Street and 5th Avenue, they will be full of young student chicks and usually play decent music. If the gig is at the acedemy, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to 42nd Street, and a bit further to 5th Ave which is right in the city centre, or you can get a bus.

Depends what night you are there as well.

If it's during the week fifth ave is prob your best bet, but for a saturday you will be better going to 42's. Fifth Ave seemed to be students only the last saturday I tried getting in.
