the anti pride brigade are making a big noise about the liverpool one being cancelled. its a financial thing and not lack of interest. they are going on in other towns and more likely new ones will start up also. nobody needs to partake in them as long as its only the events. its when its pushed down your throat with rainbows on everything by businesses who think they,ll make something out of it that annoys me. doubt those firms are anymore gay friendly to work for than those who just ignore the month but love a bit of virtue signalling.

nothing has happened to pride day its just with events across may towns and cities the month gives them a longer period to do them that will not clash with one close to them. its something thats been going on for years now in the usual spots like brighton but has grown out of all proportion to the original reason its started. why people get worked up about this is beyond me as i doubt it causes the problems the notting hill carnival creates. i,m certainly not going to one but i,ll not say a bad word about those who do or have an interest in it.
