Chuck Prophet is a genius Mr G and came from one of my all time favourite bands, Green On Red. I chose but 10 CD's to bring with me and one of them was Here Come The Snakes. Peerless stuff.

They reconvened to celebrate their drummers unfortunate demise recently and here's one track from the gig:

As good as he is Elvis I thought you'd have been down HMV at 9:00am today to pick up the new PJ Harvey - absolutely immense.

Gas Food and Lodging man myself - lovely vinyl copy of Brother Aldo as well. Saw Green On Red at Leeds Uni early doors and they were everything you would expect.

Does Sandinista count as one album kev, that and my Nina Simone Box Set (Four Women - everything she released on Phillips) would go straight to the top of my Chinese holiday selection.

Talking of the orient - great result Saturday.

No mate, it was 10 CD's, a matter of space and weight rather than taste. Not an exercise I'd recommend to anyone with a fifteen year collection. I could have been at it days so I left it as late as possible.

Here's Chuck: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffWFqE3J ... ed&search=
