"One party that the Club has been working with recently progressed into a due diligence stage however they have not been able to meet an agreed deadline for full deposit of funds.

At this particular stage no party has deposited the required proof of funds to a level to be able to operate the Club next season, which will be a requirement for the National League and any takeover."

My pessimistic take is: the most credible takeover option has stalled or worse fallen through. I hope it's stalled rather than fallen through.

On the other hand, would Raj fund the pitch refurbishment if the club was close to folding?

New kit deal, new academy set up, pitch refurbishment, ST sales set at same price as last season, would suggest that it's business as usual to a certain extent.
However, I'm starting to think that Raj might still be at least a part owner but more likely still in full control.
The retained list will need to be announced in line with the NL rules and it's looking likely that it'll be well before any takeover.

I noticed the second item on the bulletin was about mental health and fans…how appropriate.

If Singh is serious about selling Pools they still need to be planning for the future which he is doing to make Pools a more saleable asset and possibly in his eyes increase the value of the club. No way would he be doing all this then put Pools into admin or would he ?

How can the retained list be done without a takeover?! Monopoly money.
The national league applications for next season are about 12 days away.

The retained list will be the players still under contract or the ones Pools have options on ,the rest will be free agents.

The deadline for efl clubs to release their retained list was yesterday, I presume it will be around the same time for NL too, so they have to announce the list soon. Anyone know the actual deadline date?

Just realised the deadline is extended to 1 week after the last competitive game so play off teams get a bit longer. Not that it affects us, just to save someone putting me right.

but if they do not have the funds to push the club to a new and better level all we,ll be doing is substituting the name of raj singh for another similar.

Not sure if anyone has already suggested this but surely an extra incentive to purchase season tickets at this stage would be to guarantee a full refund if everything eventually goes tits up?

can understand him doing that as its not going to help him getting money back if the club goes into admin. could be more of him hanging on as long as possible to get more out of it. wouldn,t we if we wer flogging something we didn,t want.
