A bottle of wine if you can't find the corkscrew thingymajig???? :? :?

I've had 2 cans and a bit of cider but now I want more and we've only got bottles of wine in!!!! :-X :-(

dig the cork out with a knife and then pour through a tea strainer/sieve to avoid cork bits getting in glass.

Place a cloth over the top of the bottle to prevent splashing the push the cork in with a implement that will fit in the top. Not a knife obviously.

I'd just thought that the likelihood of you having tea strainer/seive if you had no corkscrew was limited.

So a tea spoon, a steady eye and a bit of patience, or give your lass the corky glass :wink:

After looking for a Corkscrew for over an hour I realised that one of the bottles of wine had a screwtop!!!!

laggy band
glass bowl
petticoat

fasten petticoat to top of bowl with laggy band
slowly pour wine into bowl through petticoat
brush off the cork
return petticoat
find a long straw and taste the brew
option two drink from the bowl

PS....doesn't Dry White Wine taste shite eh!?!? :? :-X

Just topped it up with a touch of Cider and a dash of Apple & Blackcurrant and now....it's just about drinkable!!!! :razz: :grin:

I've got a laggy band and a glass bowl....but after rifling through our lasses wardrobe and knicker draw....no petticoat!!!! :? :laugh:
