No brainer - Che, followed closely by my dad and Arthur Scargill.

Just imagine the eco warriors turning up at colliery’s in the 70’s demanding their closure…wouldn’t turn out well.
Remember Scargill addressing a meeting and him saying we were sat on several hundred years of coal reserves …and we have virtually the highest energy prices in the western world by a country mile.

and really nothing has changed from that time apart from the rich influential eco warriors running the show to make the rest of us much poorer and colder. they,d have been lucky to get out of mining areas unscathed back then with their questionable rhetoric. how did we get where we are today from then when people smelt bullshit from miles away and the regressive state we are now in.

With the likes of Millibean in charge of Nut Zero, it’s like him navigating Captain Scott’s journey to the South Pole and wondering how they ended up in Skegness, a person who probably can’t change a fuse and calls a man in to do it.

Scargill used to speak a lot of truth unfortunately his image let him down like Foot wearing his NCB donkey jacket, the media had a field day with both of them.

its always been the way for those on the right as well as the left of politics. nothing gets in the way of the media to pull em down and deride them but those in the centre get a free ride.

Someone with integrity is more important than image, though not sure what image you think he had. I also think you'll find the Donkey Jacket thing with Foot was also a myth, it came about the story came about due to one of the Ebbw Vale MP's enemies.

A Labour MP who was not a fan of his leader was watching the proceedings on television and said, "Look, he's wearing a donkey jacket." and it was blow out of all proportion after that, in order to ridicule the man.

Derek Hatton used to wear designer clothes, and he was ridiculed for being too flash. If you are a Socialist and an enemy of the rich, you can't win, they'll be gunning for you at every opportunity, that is why many of the great Socialists were teetotal, too risky drinking and going into pubs etc.

At the end of the day our representatives rely on us being too savvy to be taken in by this nonsense, who gives a f**k about someone wearing a donkey jacket and living in a council house, we need more people like that representing us, not public school educated millionaires. Unfortunately most of the working class are as thick as shit and believe what the read and hear and rarely question or challenge anything, and that's why we are where we are currently, in the shit.
