Over the top or sensible?
Over the top for me. Bet Germany, Holland, Norway, etc are not coming to a standstill.

Why did the schools never close in my day?
Probably because the Romans never built any

It's a bit blustery but no need to run to the bombproof underground shelter yet, I have cancelled my sea fishing and kite flying sessions for the day though!

According to latest local forecasts this is as bad as we're going to get and it's going to be like this for a couple of hours. Yet disaster warning messages were sent to promote mass hysteria and panic buying.

Got to laugh when all the news channels are telling us to stay indoors away from windows then cut across to the lunatic reporter who can barely stand up to show us how dangerous it is in some places.

been up to the moors to see how really bad and lifechanging its is with the dog. more or less just to be awkward but found it an average day up there when people only comment when there is no wind blowing. the more people i meet the more there is who just ignore any warnings from the media, but one day the warnings will ne totally true.

The sea was flat with wind blowing surface water but no waves…so far.

Its bad out there even in Hartlepool so god knows what its like in Ireland & Scotland.
Earlier this afternoon i was walking by the Pot House on the Headland when i got caught in what felt like a vortex. I had to go down on my knees and tried to edge along the side of a wall inches at a time. Luckily a council van pulled up i was bundled into the van and taken to the bus stop where they blocked the bus from leaving before i got on. I have been on the tops of many mountains but it never felt as bad as this.I just hope everyone stays safe.
Scary stuff and a big shout out to the two HBC lads.

The Roman name allowed our rulers to use their name to fill in the missing years of our false history.
