Was shocking today looked well off the pace. Ritchie looked comfortable slotting straight back where he left off last season. And i think we need to get Clark back in the team at centre half as Nelson and Godwin are the same sort of players.

If Nelson doesnt stop trying to dribble out of defence then I suggest we drop him. Theres no need for him to be trying to do fancy stuff in such a dangerous position.

I think Nelson is trying to do too much as he doesnt fully trust Antwi.
Nelson & Clark are an exceptionally good pairing, without that pairing we have conceded in 8 out of 9 games this season.

Definitely drop Elliott, if Danny's operating his earn your place scheme. Being subbed off at half time will no doubt have major implications as to a regular place in the next few weeks, Moore included - he was rubbish.

Clark and Nelson are good mates - I can't see why Ben hasn't had a place for such a long time.

McCunnie changed the game for us when he went into midfield but who can we replace him with at right back (with the exception of Barron who is struggling for fitness). Boland is a similar player to McCunnie.

I'd like to see our defence as

McCunnie Clark Nelson Humphreys

It's just got a solid feeling to it and the latter three know each other well and are gelled.

In midfield I'd like

Brown Boland Liddle Monkhouse

Again it looks like a good mixture of players. I can't wait for Boland to come back because it would save Wilson some selection problems.

Read what i said again.

I only suggest dropping him if he doesnt stop thinking he is Ronaldo and trying to take the whole team on when losing the ball means they are through 1v1. He has already cost us 2 goals doing this. He needs to do the simple option and we will have amuch better defender on our hands.

Got to admit he had a poor game today, but the rest of the team didn't help.

McCunnie should start in midfield for me, ritchie humps is struggling in my opinion - don't know why as he is surely good enough!

I can't have a bad word said against Nelson, but he was clearly carrying an injury today. Him and Clarke look more solid than Antwi, but Antwi ain't as bad as people report!

Budtz had a few scary moments today too, but it wasn't that bad.

Which kind of sums it up, it wasn't that bad and it was (hopefully) an off day - which we got away with.

By the way it was my son's (6) first game today and he loved it! Even started joining in with the barracking at one point

Hopefully it'll be better in Leyton next week, see you there!

Is he a bit small for the modern game Elliot?

Nelson turned his ankle today so I'm pretty sure he'll miss a couple of weeks at least.

It's a 'sort of' positive because at least Ben Clark will get a deserved game. I like Antwi he has loads of plus points (he is awesome in the tackle) to his game but sometimes he looks exactly what he is, a 19 year old kid.

At the end of the day though we had 23 clean sheets last season if it aint broke don't fix it......

I would like to see a return to Nelson and Clark partnership if possible for a few games.
As for Antwi, a part of any young player's football education is to spend a spell on the sidelines and have to fight for his place back, and that nobody should be guaranteed first team football. He is a great prospect, but the danger has to be he'll end up making one or two costly mistakes as young players can often lose concentration more easily than some of their more experienced team mates.
Having said that, Nelson has been looking a bit jaded, and Clark will feel that neither of the current first choice centre backs would play any better than him.
