Better still if we can get our fingers out starting tomorrow and Saturday then co tinue into the new year. Tough games ahead but we could do with a minimum 5 out of the next 9 points. One thing in our favour could be that on paper we've got more strength in depth within the squad as the fixtures come thick and fast.

Could do with a minimum of five points as you say but I fear that one point may be the maximum secured over this difficult period.

Not getting excited mate just pointing out we've done OK getting a double over a team above us. I'm actually disappointed that some of the draws we've has recently weren't wins, which imo we would probably have gotten if we'd been a bit more adventurous.
As for Raj, he's just the current owner in a long list of owners in my time as a supporter, we've had much better and we've had much worse, and we'll probably have better and worse again in the future. I couldn't give a toss who owns the club.
Wonder what it would take for the Imp to post a well done, or good 3 points that, or actually comment on the football rather than immediately find things to post have a dif about and 100% negative stuff without a mention of the result or performance?

The Grinch and the Elves (aka Imps) always disappear after Christmas - fingers crossed.......

Make you a deal. Raj buggers off from Pools, I'll bugger off from the bunker.

Tell you what, you bugger off first and we’ll let you know when Raj has left the building. You don’t need to leave the board, just set up your own thread and we will visit you when we feel the need to be brought down to earth a little or require a good old fashioned dose of abject hopelessness.

Oh lovely. Happy Christmas to you too.

ALL THE VERY BEST MR IMP - I knew that you had a GSOH!

We beat Yeovil which is a fantastic achievement for us, lets now see if we can back it up against a club we really should be walking all over. When some of our fans get all giddy over 1 win every every 3 or 4 games no wonder we get chairman to happily plod along in the level below we should be playing. Some fans keep saying this is our rightful level utter nonsense no club that is capable of taking nearly 20k to wales for a play off 10 k to sunderland 4 k to darlo regularly take 1000 plus to games within 100 mile should accept this is our level. Lets get our fingers out in the new year and actually finally show some of the potential we have. Support doeant win games but most clubs with decent suppprt finally get back to their level they should be at.

if we increased our gates by 2,000 would it make all that big a difference. we had our chance and blew it with the club having a death wish through big mistakes it made in recruitment of managers. no club ever gets this right all the time but surely not as much as pools do. then there is the bigger picture of having an owner who cannot or is unwilling to push the club further than where we are and below the level of some clubs who are playing at their highest level. thats a big problem that we have. fans of those clubs are happy where they are. most poolies are not and never will be.

Exactly.

I know Morecambe are struggling lately.
But they showed with technical ambition not shit loads of money to get to league One and compete for 1 or 2 seasons.

Surely to God we can emulate that decent achievement.
The days of league One again should under no circumstances be ruled out again.

Exeter a prime example of quick success n sustainability.

It can be done.

UTP.

My current take on the Raj situation is that having overseen a minor miracle getting us back into the EFL, he failed to do everything possible to maintain the status which the club had experienced for the major part of its existence.
We need an owner who has a feel for the needs of the club and spectators. Raj did save the club but I believe it is purely an investment for him.

he cannot live off that for ever though, its history. the present is needing an owner with big pockets to do what other clubs have done recently. without that money we,d still have stockport and wrexham on our fixture list in this league.

Had Gateshead not been shit on last season I'm sure they would be in the EFL now.
And it wudent of been done by only cashsplashing.

Hard graft and organisation Dosent cost a fortune.

surely there is more about them than just that. you cannot live on that for a full season without something else behind them when you are living on national league north gates.

They've signed 3 loan players in the last 6 weeks. Somebody is footing their wage bill.

Fair play to Carl Magnay though - must be a better coach than he ever was a player!

or they cry the poor little gateshead tale battling against all adversity and get a helping hand by the wages paid by their parent clubs. do not think everything about that club is all black and white. possibly over the years they have been in the financial shit more than us right back in the day they lost their league status.

Im not convinced we are anywhere near good enough to beat the top teams in this league. We played pretty well at york and still conceded 5, tommorow will be a real test get a result tommorow and maybe things are turnimg around. I just think our midfield is very weak to compete with the best teams, changing the keeper a month too late hasnt helped our season and appointing a charlatan has left us a lot to do

If we don't gift Gateshead the first goal the way Billy S-D's air kick did York I think it will be a tight game.

Agree it's a mistake not bringing Sheron straight back into central midfield now that Dodds is available - CM is a much more difficult position to fill well than right back. Sheron is a genuine box to box type.

thats the problem we will have even if we get into the bottom couple of the play off positions without a couple of good new signings in january. apart from yeovil we have looked second best against all the teams we have played who are in the top 7 no matter what the result was. all seem to have something what we do not have.
