Knocked out on pens at home to part timers for 2nd year running!

Am sure the excuses will be trotted out about it not being a priority but I am pig sick of the shite and excuses we are served up

Charman looks like he might be injured for Sat-and while we don't want anyone injured it might force Lawrence to get it through his skull to start Mancini !

Spot kicks abysmal as well--I hope the players enjoyed the Tamworth players taking the piss out of the club as they scored the pens what a bunch of fucking losers !

Am fucking fuming at that---we just find new ways to stick two fingers up at our fans though incompetence

Season pretty much over again---does anyone at the club really give a fuck---probably not!

Expect the Rosetinters to ridicule your last sentence.

Mini bounce back test.
Go win next 3 to salvage the season.

whole thing fucking stank---

shite oppo who we didnt kill off then conceded a stupid goal at the end.
Every penalty god awful
No one seemed to care

I dont care what the happy clappy we have always been shite brigade come out with---these are some of the worst season in our history league wise and cup exits wise and no one seems to care or acknowledge that at the club

Am sure Lawrence will get wheeled on to do his sensible football man routine dont get too down or up on 1 result etc as he supplements his pension while this club stagnates further.

maybe I am OTT but that was everything thats wrong with this club in a nutshell tonight----and no doubt it will be used as an excuse when we lose to Southend on Saturday as well

The demise continues, absolutely shocking that was. With the game looking comfortable all that was needed was to keep Mancini on to feed the ball to. It wasn't a time to bring the young lad on, ridiculous decision. with Madine looking knackered maybe bring on Mani as well. Instead they just let Tamworth get back into it when they looked dead on their feet. As soon as Wreh came on my brain said oh no!!!! How come all these shite forwards that have come through our club always score against us?

There are no positives to be taken from the game, all we know is that Lenny should be playing Mancini from the start every game.

The penalties were pathetic, you would have thought they were taking them in a champions league final the way they crumbled. Terrible terrible tonight and could now derail any recent positivity gained in the last few weeks.

Season over!!!!

Spot on--and I'm sure Lawrence will prefer carthorse Charman running head down with his blinkers on on Saturday again if he is fit.

It is astonishing how we find new ways to be a total embarrassment of a club. Watching the people carrier following of Tamworth at the end with every fan getting a handshake from the players at the end said it all for me. Fair play to them for making the trip but it should have been a game where we put down a marker and said were the big club, unfortunately with Lennie making decisions like he did tonight just cements how far we have fallen. Clueless and embarrassing, when will this shambles end?

These post-match rants are becoming much more entertaining than the games themselves. Biggest disappointment - apart from the fact that three seasoned pros could not convert a spot kick between them - is that Luke Charman got himself injured (again) in a pointless contest that most Poolies predictably swerved - and as mentioned above, no-one seemed to care anyway. I would doubt that the club broke even on tonight’s attendance.

The result means I don’t have to change my plans for January 4th. It’s not all bad news then

I’m kind of relieved we don’t have to go to Sutton to be honest. We can do without it!
Have got acclimatised to this kind of result over the last few years. It’s not even shocking anymore.

Not excusing the performance, but there weren't many there last night passionately supporting our club.

4 things stood out for me last night, we have to give Mancini more game time, we need to take the shackles off Dodds and let him get forward more, Lua Lua is a far better option on the left wing than Grey, Hunter and Sherron together doesn't work the central midfield reverted to. Sarllball.
Wonder if Lennie and his flock of coaches saw what we can see?

There wasn't 1400 there, it looked more like less than 1000 to me - did the attendance figure include tickets sold for Saturday but not used on the night?
Even allowing for 1300, that's still 1700 fewer passionate Poolies isn't it?
You're the one who keeps telling us we have a fantastic fan base, then your saying crowds are down, now your saying 1400 (wrong) is decent!
So which is it?

Doom mongers couldn’t wait for this. First poor game for a few weeks but there were 8 players who didnt even start the last match even commentators saying it felt like a pre season friendly or reserve game. As far as the opposition was concerned remember in the last few weeks they have beaten a Div.1 and 2 teams in the cup.

I was there and felt we were far the better team until Mancini went off. He asked to come off as he was knackered but he put in a great shift. We should not have had so many changes if we were serious about winning. Always a downward rollercoaster with Pools.

This. People saying Mancini should have stayed on till the end can't have been paying attention - he'd run himself into the ground. Hard to keep yourself fully match fit when you've not had a start in a game for 3 months!

Well you got that one wrong too! If that's what I was referring to I would have said it straight.

A crowd of about 33% of the regular home gate was poor and as someone said we'll have been lucky to break even on the night. About 2/3rds of the passionate Poolies stayed away, mind in hindsight they probably did the right thing.

No doubt after defending last night's crowd as decent you'll be back to carping on about dwindling crowds by Saturday again.

it was crying out for him to be replaced by mani D just for his defensive capabilities against their corners and long throws after they got their second wind. Last night was typical pools, getting into a lead and seemed to be controlling things to fuck it up at the end. Two KO competitions and we never got passed out first game in either. Raj will ne livid due to less ££££ coming in. We still might make the play offs but would need a real miracle to get promoted out of them this time.

Why did he wait so long to put Mani D on if he wanted him on for pens, surely he could have given him 10 minutes minimum to get a kick of the ball and properly warmed up? Besides which that lazy bastard Madine should've been hooked by half time.

This 1 up front shit makes our forwards look lazy.
It's so easy to defend against especially when the service is from wing backs who cudent cross the road with a walking stick.

regarding madine, how all of a sudden he is available to play a full game where previously 20 minutes looked to be the best we coild expect from him. be interesting when was the last time he played as long as that. is he capable of doing this or just too lazy to do it now at the fag end of his career.

Doubt LL was thinking about pens till Tamworth equalised... in the 90th minute. Whether he should have been on earlier is a different question (and the answer is yes, he should).

Madine did ok and got our goal. The bloke hadn't started a game for over 2 years because of injuries, plays 90-odd minutes and you call him a 'lazy bastard?' Well done you.

Haha - firstly I certainly ain’t no Superfan and secondly I was not putting anyone down, I genuinely do enjoy the posts that predictably follow every Pools setback and totally get the angst behind them. I care for the club as passionately as anyone but the days when I blew gaskets over every defat are thankfully long gone, especially when it is all going to fall on the deaf ears of R Singh and not make an apeworth of difference.

I think he just wanted to have a look at some players with the objective to chuck it.
We are so bad we couldnt let a goal within 90 minutes but its better to go out on penalties.
Whos interested in Sutton away on 4th January?.....not me.
