Thought we were decent going forward in the first half but gifted them a 2 goal lead. Was sitting right behind Sass-Davies' air kick for the first - Pools won't concede a worse goal all season. And Brad Young didn't exactly cover himself in glory for the free kick!

When Fergie pulled one back (and what a well worked goal that was) it looked like game on - but their manager went straight to his bench and stuck on 3 more subs, including the next 2 goalscorers. By the time the new HUFC Brains Trust made their first change the game was over as a contest.

Positives: 1) Charman had his best game in a Pools' shirt. 2) We won't play sides with a starting 11 and bench as good as York's every week!

Negatives: Well, the IPTV community has already got them pretty well covered. Agree that if there's any justice Manny O will get a start next week. Billy S-D had an absolute shocker.

we more of less got beat with a couple of players having sub standard games and making mistakes and york having a stronger bench to win the game. its sod all about our owners and coaching staff where a couple have just been with us days rather than weeks. one thing is they can learn more about the players with that defeat than they would have done with a sneaky win like we got early days. how good all three are at the jobs will show by the time we play barnet at the end of the month. next saturday is a bit early to see much difference apart from the starting line up.

But why shouldn't we get a new management bounce like other teams do? Why should it take a month for Lenny to get up to speed when that's 3 or 4 games he's already been in charge already isn't it?

not all teams get this by a long shot. its just when it happens it gets mentioned. when it does how long does it really last. its not all about lenny if the other two are worth a wage and are with us to do something positive. blackpool are a great example under bruce. went on a decent run at first but back more or less now before he came in. surely its better to build on a firmer foundation than a temporary new manager bounce that does not continue.

At this moment I think we're desperate for a run of wins, especially at home. Without that I can just see interest and crowds falling.
Let's be honest we were totally outplayed for most of that game yesterday, but for the neutral looking at the respective squads you'd have to say you'd have expected more from us. And I'd expect improvement game on game but we're not getting it.

seen most games and there has only been one where we outplayed the opposition for the vast amount of the game, our last home game against aldershot. everyone of us wants this run of winning games but it aint going to happen overnight and certainly not adding york to the scalp of aldershot. too much has previously happened for a new dawn to happen just yet with such an erratic squad of players we have got.

Lenny must have forgotten how well Mani and Joe worked together when they played as a strike pairing.
Mani got f*ck all service again and f*ck all protection from the ref too. We can't change the latter but we need to improve the former.

I agree totally. Mani D must have Grey alongside. The latter is wasted out wide and no where near the player he was at the end of last season.

Tell a lie, when he goes they might not get better or worse, they could stay the same.

Kind of fence sitting this but that aside I would say Sweens is better than anyone we brought in but he got shunted because our fan rep (or Raj-rep more accurately) fancied Sarll. I think that kind of sums up where we are as a club... farcical basically.
Obviously couldn’t blame any of the new appointments for today’s defeat but I also don’t see anything particularly convincing about the all new coaching set up so expect us to middle along. This is the Raj way.

Sweeney never took the job because of the unpredictability…in my opinion..why take a job with a shelf life of a 6 pint carton of milk…he has bills to pay like everyone else.

Pointless bile but yet you tend to belive raj that no one is intersted in taking over? Yet some have even come out and said they want too. We can continue to go down this road with this guy in charge and i hazard a guess it wont be great or we can actually step up and say enoughs enough and demand better it may fall on deaf ears but pressure by fans is the only hope we have. If thats pountless then we may as well have derby games with stockton and darlo in future

On the contrary, like many others I believe very little of what Raj Singh says although he appears to be saying very little at present anyway. I have heard and read about rumoured consortiums supposedly keen to takeover the club. However, unless I have missed something, no would-be buyer has gone public and declared that an offer of X£m has been made to Mr R Singh coupled with a commitment of pumping a further X£m over X number of years.

Your idea to call Raj out and ‘demand better’ is interesting but how would you suggest that this is progressed assuming that you agree that ‘pointless bile’ is never going to make an impact? Boycotting games, sit down protests, giant banners, throwing tennis balls onto the pitch have all been utilised by disgruntled football fans in recent years. Short of a flaming torch march on the Vic (not that I am advocating one I hasten to add!) I can’t see any of the above measures impacting on Raj in any shape or form.

What is clear is that unless LL is permitted to strengthen the squad and get us into the top half of the table, derby games with the likes of Darlo, Spenny, South Shields and yes, even Stockton FC may be rather closer than you think.
