Fully agree, and expected closer relationship between the club and fans after the appointment of the new directors. It looks as if Raj really has taken a back seat in that respect, as he said he was going to do, but it appears that nobody has climbed into the front seat that he's just vacated.

He's just put up another layer of bureaucracy between him and the fans to avoid accountability---the new board is stepping up exactly to the degree that they have been instructed--a bunch of lickspittles and useful idiots

everything going in slow motion--Lennie Lawrence is no fool but has no urgency or dynamism to him--happy to plod along with enough of an uptick to avoid relegation but not seriously threaten the playoffs---no idea where Singh thinks this is going to lead as support, funding and the value of his investment decline year on year, yet he will cling on like a bitter old man

I tried to buy a Tesla car yesterday but the salesman wouldn't accept what I thought was a fair offer, said I had to pay what they wanted. Bastard, sack Musk I said it's a f*cking disgrace the way he runs his company blah, blah, blah.....
Then I realised I was wasting my breath. You'll get there eventually.

Depends. If he was asking what it was worth then that's reasonable. If he was asking for more than that, say it had fuck all features and outstanding finance, then he's an arsehole and needs calling out.

Yes if those circumstances you outline were correct, Mr Imp. A check with Mr P would ascertain if they are relevant. There are loads of potential circumstances that could be suggested but so far the scenario painted by Mr P is the only one we have. If the salesman was trying to sell a burnt out heap then that also would make him an arsehole.
So far there is no evidence that the salesman was asking more than it was worth. He was certainly asking for more than Mr P wanted to pay as has been stated.
Funnily enough I bought a car today and the salesman wasn't going to budge but eventually we came to a deal. He rearranged the figures like they do and I ended up £500 to the good as against the negotiating starting point. Whether I ended up with a good deal in anybody else's eyes is open to scrutiny but I was happy with it. I always say about second hand salesmen is if you put a white car in, white is not a good seller but if the car you are interested in is white then it is the "in" colour.

The salesman had a valuation of the car and I had a valuation for the car, both reasonable in our own minds, but neither reasonable from the others perspective. As he was the seller, he held all the cards and calling neither him or his CEO was going to alter the situation so I didn't waste any more time over the matter.
I'm sure he'll sell the car one day, wether he gets yesterday's asking price may well be a different matter.

The trust in partnership with a consortium after Raj failed to get any direct offers brought what I understand was agood offer to the table which he rejected then denied have any offers and has failed badly to make any good decisions on managers apart from DC. How hev has done so well in business is a mystery to me. Remember all the money he has put in has been a loan despite the cup run and the two years of parachute payment and according to accounts the club purchasing a plane!

George Reynolds was a very successful businessman but an idiot as a chairman. When he came to use it was also a case of shit or bust as it was for you when Singh came along, however Reynolds didn’t have a track record of being a shit chairman so got his fair chance.

Cleverer than just constantly bleating that he should sell the club fir whatever a done wants to pay. You just don't seem to have any basic u persuading of how markets work, doesn't matter if its a football club, a car, or even a tube of toothpaste, the seller sets the price and it's what the seller not the buyers idea of what's reasonable that matters if a deal is to be done.

The seller sets the price yes but the buyer decides if it’s reasonable and if they’re willing to pay it. Raj can ask for as much as he likes, not going to get him anywhere. Or us for that matter.
