Amid the euphoria of Sarll going, it seems to have slipped under the radar that Gateshead were beaten 3-1 at home in their replay last night by the mighty Hednesford Town, currently 17th in the Northern Premier League 1 West.

Lad at work whos mate is a massive Heed fan seems to think the appointment of Mr Magnay isnt a good one - said he will be too far out his depth. But then again im sure they said that about the last 2 very successful candidates they had in. Its a massive step for the lad and the pressure will be on given how well they have started again. Last nights hiccup wont bother them i wouldnt think as i truly think the Heed fans expect a top 7 finish again.

Some are currently talking about possible relegation this season. I reckon more to this sudden dramatic drop in form. Maybe Elliot told the players he is leaving due to not been able to get promoted this season due to the ground issues. Lost 3 league games in a row 2 against part-timers. Then knocked out the cup by a team of part- timers 3 divisions lower at home. The Chairman came out to say hoping for good news end of the month, but could that be good news starting next season not this. The team seem to have simply downed tools and the Chairman is another dodgepot like the rest.

Thought they'd changed the rule to a 5 year lease which the Heed have and they would be allowed promotion this season? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

just slightly better than boston losing 4 nil at home to gainsborough. we think our result was bad. thank goodness it wasn,t against clubs of that standard.

Other clubs failings don't make our own ineptitude any the less. Saturday should give an indication as to how much of that was down to Sarll.

Exactly this.
It's back to a no excuse last chance saloon season.
Imagine the players will be over the moon with delboy gone.
Now we find out if the status Leggie gave these players in August comes to fruition.
Hopefully

Spot on makes me laugh, gateshead in a major slump probobly sat in the top 7, when really they are a conference north club. Us stumbling from one disaster to another now unable to beat national north sides. I will hazard a guess now Gateshead will probobly still finish higher than us, unless we find the elusive miracle worker.

true in both and sarll might have been a big culpret but not the only one by a long way. might see if we let some of them off too easy by just concentrating on the con man too much. think most of us are guilty of that.
