Backing Sarll in the mail

‘Supporters should stick with Sarll and their faith will
Be rewarded’ he writes

Wonder if he believes it or is being tactful given the relationship between club and journalists

Time will tell…

Wouldn’t read too much into it, hardly gonna be good for his relationship with the club if starts going negative…especially when your job depends on it.

Stelling Junior needs to tread carefully, he will quickly alienate himself from the
fanbase by taking sides. Did he really need to comment on the current situation? I think not. Best stick to reporting the facts Robbie and allow events to unfold one way or another, you may be the offspring of a Pools legend but your personal opinion is not going to influence the the current angst of a large proportion of the fan base.

Sounds like a Rosetinter.
Don't question these boring tactics of zero entertainment football and promotion is nailed on (more or less).
Very amateurish but what do ya expect when the Mail is involved.

As a player himself Sarlly was utter shite.
Hitchin town and Biggleswade United was as far as he got.
As a manager hes no better.
A patter merchant, cockney barrow boy type, with the gift of the gab who has picked up some footie lingo from others over the years that he thinks makes him sound good.
A conman and complete fake.
His interviews are just straight out of David Brent from The Office for gods sake.
He's playing at being someone hes not and getting away with it.
But according to Stello junior us Poolies are "notoriously hard to please" and we should "stick with him."
What a load of crap.
The bloke has to go.

are we hard to please because we can pick a wrong un out quicker than those from other areas. thats not a criticism of us but the complete opposite. only recently my early thoughts of a new couple local to me has come to light where i saw through their bullshit bit others didn,t.

Are Poolies hard to please? Most of us just want to see our team win a few games and score more than one goal every three years.

It’s not just the results it’s the way we play which is more important. It’s just not pleasing on the eye. Ok if we were in the top 3 grinding out 1-0 wins likes the Arsenal unbeatable I would be more forgiving. Tonight I will be in bed and not getting up at 1.30 in the morning to watch utter shite

on the whole we want to win by playing well but our expectations now seem to get lower every season even before it starts. some clubs fans will take anything just to win and expect their club to be promotion candidates even if realistically they never will be.

Most of the top managers were never household names at the top level, so what is the point of referring to his playing career in this context.
If you want to call him crap in your opinion fair enough, but playing careers and management careers are poles apart.

its the expectation that they will be good at both is what gets me when there has never been proof of it happening.

And there’s still dummies out there with bags of cash, gormless enough to give big money to ex star players to be a top manager…
They’ve obviously never been fans before they ‘discovered’ football.

From the way he was talking last night the proverbial penny has dropped, there is no belief in the bloke anywhere.
Trouble with doing that job is you’re treading a fine line in what you can say and the policy of the newspaper itself which has long ceased to be a true local paper.

thats what you get with the bloke and the job where you have to have feet in both camps.

Robbie obviously needs to brush up on his maths as his article in today's Mail rating our last 11 Managers on win rate has Sarll in 7th when he plainly should be 8th.

You get more respect from the fans for telling it how it is.

Eddie Kyle was quality at it. But like a said previously when you in retirement age you've got nowt to lose.

Maddo on Tees won't have a bad word said about the Boro. Not quite old enough to speak the truth

Sterling and Tees commentator were both on Tees tonight, they were a lot more open on their opinions on Sarl, maybe apprehensive during Sarl tenure in case they got banned from Pools.

Admitted on Twitter he personally liked Sarll (which is fine)
I think he made a mistake venturing an opinion as oppose to just reporting factually but just my opinion, at end of the day he’s a pools fan and doing his best
