on the whole we want to win by playing well but our expectations now seem to get lower every season even before it starts. some clubs fans will take anything just to win and expect their club to be promotion candidates even if realistically they never will be.

Most of the top managers were never household names at the top level, so what is the point of referring to his playing career in this context.
If you want to call him crap in your opinion fair enough, but playing careers and management careers are poles apart.

its the expectation that they will be good at both is what gets me when there has never been proof of it happening.

From the way he was talking last night the proverbial penny has dropped, there is no belief in the bloke anywhere.

I think he made a mistake venturing an opinion as oppose to just reporting factually but just my opinion, at end of the day he’s a pools fan and doing his best
